The Imperial Palace, a luxury establishment, first opened its doors in 1913 and was immediately well received by Royals and the world s celebrities at that time: from George VI to the Sultan of Morocco, as well as Winston Churchill, Edith Piaf and Charlie Chaplin. In later years, its success began to wane and it finally closed its doors in 1965 before being ravaged by fire in 1981. Twenty-five long years passed before it rose from the ashes thanks to the German Group Hopf Holding and in 2013 they handed it over to the Pollet-Villard family from La Clusaz owner of the PVG Group.
