The year 2018 brought us a lot of great rides and adventures with wonderful people. We shared a ton of laughs and miles throughout the year. If I had to choose my favorite ride of this past season I would have a hard time deciding over the trip to Acadia National Park or the ride with Myron because I feel both were equal in every aspect. I want to welcome our new officers for 2019 as well as thank all that dedicated their time to the Chapter -- without you we wouldn't have a functioning organization nor would we without all our members. The 2019 riding season looks to be very exciting with some ideas for rides already mentioned amongst some members and officers. We hope to be able to sit down soon and put these ideas down on the calendar. We welcome and encourage all members to voice their ideas for any ride or destination they would like to share because it doesn't matter if it s a 50 mile destination ride for lunch, a 300 mile adventure or an overnight ride, this is your Chapter. Here we come to the close of another year, I had a great 2018 riding season. Visited some old favorites and took some new adventures on roads I've never traveled. I'm so looking forward to what 2019 will bring. At our last couple of meetings I've mentioned a winter time activity - 'The Ice Castles' in Lincoln, NH. Well I started the ball rolling: the date I have picked is Saturday March 2 nd, time 5:00 PM. I have, for those who are interested, set this up for an overnight. Lincoln, NH is approx. an hour and half drive from the Barre, VT area. For those who want to stay in Lincoln for the night, the motel is Days Inn 557 US Rte 3 Lincoln, NH 03251. Please call them to make your reservation #603-745-8118 ask for Eileen Carter and tell them you are with Central Vermont HOG. You can find info on the Ice Castles on the web Ice Castles or simply do a web search ice castles Lincoln, NH. You need to purchase your ice castles tickets in advance, there is an early bird special going on. Make sure you pick Saturday March 2nd and 5:00 PM. This is sure to be a fun evening and I hope you can make it, if you have any questions please send an email to officers@centralvermonthog.com I want to thank everyone who came out for our Christmas party at Twin City Family Fun Center on December 1st. we enjoyed 3 hours of bowling followed by dinner, gift swap, and socializing. The Officers surprised each member by giving each participating current member a ticket which was a $10.00 discount off the price of their meal. It seemed to be a fun afternoon and evening had by all. Thanks to John Lyon and the staff of Wilkins Harley Davidson for stopping by. As we roll into 2019 I'm always looking for fun and exciting activities for the Chapter, if you have an interesting idea let me know, together let's make 2019 as fun and enjoyable as can be. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Saddle up, let s ride!

Vee Twin Rumblings VOLUME 31 ISSUE 12 Central Vermont H.O.G. Chapter #5218 Page 4 I just want to thank all the members for their vote and support in electing me as the new Chapter Treasurer and as their Safety Officer. I would like to ask our members to help out with some getting advertising. It would be nice if you could put an ad in our newsletters. Also, if you have a friend that is self-employed (or maybe your employer), ask them to place an ad with the Chapter. This would help us out with all the things we would like to do as a group for 2019. So go out there and help the chapter. Thank you, Thomas Moore. Ladies of Harley December 2018 Hello Fellow Riders! Where has the year gone?!! Trina and I had a great year working together as the Ladies of Harley Officers. We started the year off attending Wilkin s Ladies Garage Party! It was a fun gathering for women interested in riding of many levels. We also learned about self defense from the one and only Fred Villari! We talked to many women that day about our experiences in riding and hoped to encourage those who were thinking of riding to join us! Our first ride of the year was with Sue Carp and the Champlain Valley HOGs group in May for the International Female Ride Day. It was a sunny day and it was a great day for a ride. We had lunch at the Red Hen in Middlesex and a great time was had by all! We participated in many rides for the rest of the season, going all over the beautiful state of Vermont, Maine, NY and other places. We also participated in different events at Wilkins, including bringing lunch to their staff and the Bike Show for starters! Trina ended our year off with a Pumpkin Carving event at Wilkins. She had many future motorcyclists join in the fun! It was a quick season for sure! I ve really enjoyed working with Trina and the rest of the Officers this year to help plan a fun year for our chapter. I wish you all a great Holiday season and I look forward to 2019 and another great riding year!
