See the car show and tour the Exploration Tower facility and check out the various booths for free giveaways. We will depart Exploration Tower, for lunch, at 12:00 noon. Check this link for additional information: http://www.boomerseniorexpo.com/about-the-venue.html SCMC s 2nd Toys For Tots run is Sunday, November 15, 2015. We will meet at Target, 250 Crockett Blvd, Merritt Island, FL 32953 on the south end of Target's parking lot near the Crockett Blvd side. Please meet by 10:45am and we will depart at 11:00 am for a nice ride to our destination in Melbourne at Lou's Filling Station, 408 East New Haven Ave in Melbourne. Lou's specialty is pizza, Strombolis, Calzones, and wings. This is a great opportunity to really get into the holiday spirit by giving back to deserving Brevard County children in helping to make Christmas a very special one for them. Please bring 1 new, unwrapped toy, per person, valued at around $10.00. Walmart gift cards are an acceptable alternative, because the Marines will use the gift cards to "fill in the holes" and get necessary repair parts for many of the rehabilitated bikes that are donated. Anyone not able to attend, but wish to donate, may send a check payable to Bunnie Dow, on behalf of Toys for Tots*, to her home address at: 1096 Linwood Lane NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905. More information, contact Bunnie at 321/508-0559, or bunster82@hotmail.com. * Proceeds will be applied, by Bunnie, towards Toys for Tots Walmart gift cards.

For those of us who haven't been to the Brevard Zoo in recent years, there were quite a few new exhibits. In addition to seeing the various animals, the zoo offers the Treetop Trek, Kayak Adventure, and a train ride as well. Lunch was at Jimmie s Restaurant, Rockledge, FL, where 4 other club members showed up to enjoy Jimmie s breakfast or lunch choices. Thanks Bunnie & Ray, for hosting this event. C Some days you just happen across really great things when you least expect it. I had this small space free and wanted to post a Miata fact so I asked my husband, Steve, to help me figure out what to use, and he found this really great website, www.miatafun.net. Marna & Tom Wood run the show and the website is full of event calendars for Miata Clubs throughout the country. It is a place to find events with other Miata clubs that isn t in your own back yard. There are also club website links, Club event calendars, Motor sports events, cars & parts for sale, Miata stories, and Miata Publications. Space Coast Miata Club has already got a page set up.
