8 Location The amazing island of Crete Transport Infrastructure The island has three significant airports, Nikos Kazantzakis at Heraklion, the Daskalogiannis airport at Chania and a smaller one in Sitia. The first two serve international routes, acting as the main gateways to the island for travellers. There is a long-standing plan to replace Heraklion airport with a completely new airport at Kastelli, where there is presently an air force base. Good sized lounge area with tv and gym. The pool was excellent and well secluded with delightful flowers and shrubs. Very comfortable seating area as were the sun beds. The property had an amazing barbecue. Grill with all needed, great swimming pool, clean, kind host. Spacious, Clean and fully functional villa with great swimming pool and sea view. A few nice beaches in short distance. Enthusiastic and helpful host! Definitely recommend for a family holiday!
