We provide all the bed linen and blankets so you ll just need to bring towels (although towels packs are now available). There s plenty of space in the dome to store bags, suitcases and there are wardrobes to hang clothes. The kitchen is equipped with two fridges, a microwave and of course the plancha! It has all the necessary plates, mugs, glasses and cutlery you ll need for a camping holiday. There are spare plug sockets so you can charge phones, ipads etc. Check in. You ll need to pay the local tourist tax when you check in ( 0.50 per adult over 18) Why camping Col d Ibardin. We travelled the length and breadth of the Basque country to find a campsite that had the right balance of space and facilities and we know we ve found it. The pitches are all of a generous size so in true camping style you will have neighbours but you won t feel like they are living on top of you. Summer is busy but the beautiful oak trees dotted round the site help to create natural boundaries making it feel not overcrowded and the constant sound of the stream helps to instantly relax you. See map on next page Facilities on site. One of the reasons we chose this site was the quality of its amenities and facilities. The shower and toilet blocks are of a really good standard and it is lovely to take a shower and look up through the old oak beams of the building and see the stars through the glass roof. There are also a bar and restaurant on site which serve up reasonably priced local food. There s plenty of activities to keep you and the kids enetertained there s a full size swimming pool and kids pools, a playground, a tennis court (rackets can be hired at reception), multi- sports area for a kick about and of course great walks into the Pyrenees. The kids club has been well recieved so far by the dome kids and information is available on arrival. Deposit. Once you ve checked in and we pop over to see you, we will take a security deposit. This is in only in a written form so money is taken there and then. The deposit is to cover for any damage done to the dome or it s contents. We will inspect the dome at the end of your holiday and if there are no issues then we dispose of your card details. The domes. Please note that the photography and video on our website site is a true representation of the accommodation (but obviously not the location), the only difference is that we now have extra large hammocks instead of the hanging chair which believe us are amazing and fit more than two people!. Surf Lessons We have teamed up with a number of local companies to offer our guests surf lesson and surf hiree. These can be booked through us so If you re here in the main summer holidays it would be advisable to make enquiries before hand.

As you start to climb the hill you ll notice a campsite on your right in the valley, don t worry you haven t gone passed it s another site (and camping col d Ibardin is much nicer).
Belle Basque from Bayonne to beaches
Enjoy - Basque delights Some suggestions of how to enjoy the Basque scenery, culture and activities France s south west corner enjoys a lovely warm average summer temperature reliably in the mid twenties but the Atlantic is close enough to mean a decent breeze and avoid too much heat. Bayonne. It s as Basque as you like, in fact it s pretty much the area s economic and political capital, but because it s a short distance inland it s not the same tourist-magnet as Biarritz. St Jean de Luz. The French and Spanish are more clued up about this gem than visitors from further away, so don t tell anyone, but it s a place you shouldn t miss. The whole Pays Basques offers a compelling blend of vibrant cities, beautiful beaches, pine forests, traditional villages, towering mountains, contemporary culture and proudly-held ancient traditions. There are plenty of brilliant places to see within a short distance: places to satisfy the broadest range of ages and appetites. Here s our list of the highlights Le Petit Rhune. We doubt you ll have the place to yourself, but it s popular for a reason, and the reason is clear once you see the view and two countries from the top. San Sebastian. We said Spain wasn t far. San Sebastian s not only just a short hop across the border, it s our favourite city anywhere. Biarritz. This is the French proving that a city by the sea doesn t have to compromise its by-the-sea-ness or its city-ness. Beaches. Challenging, world-class surf, sheltered waters in family-friendly coves, busy, high-summer hangouts, away-from-it-all places along nearempty stretches that go on for miles: all kinds of beach for all kinds of people. Walking. Whether you ve got your eye on a distant peak or a riverside stroll to a picnic spot, the whole area is rich with eye-catching opportunities.
