Anyone we have ever met from Hawke s Bay has always boasted about their home town is like heaven on earth. The weather, the wine and the scenery. When we first got engaged we were excited to plan a wedding that offered both us and our guests something different - a new experience. Recently returning home from travelling and living overseas we felt proud to get married anywhere in New Zealand but we instantly thought of Hawke s Bay. We had never visited before, so quickly set off to see what this magical place was all about. We were blown away at first sight! It truly was so beautiful, even more, the local people were so welcoming. We instantly felt the hot, dry weather and thought we have to get married here (as surely we are guaranteed a good day). Next up, we needed to secure a venue and start locking in our local vendors. The venue options were endless and the vendors all insanely talented! Organising our wedding in Hawke s Bay was a fun experience. We enjoyed the weekends away each time checking out and experiencing something new.
