Your mountain paradise There s nothing quite like the uplifting feeling you get as you climb the steep path all alone and then, suddenly, the white, snow-covered slopes of the Arlberg open up in front of you. A flavourful companion Full of character, pleasing to the senses and always an excellent companion, wine is the perfect accompaniment to every dish. Head sommelier and cellar master Hannes Mossauer and senior host Adi Werner are on hand to recommend a suitable wine and the right vintage. Lying dormant in the Brotherhoods Wine Cellar, which dates from 1386, are veritable treasures just waiting to be found, including Lafite Rotschild, D Yquem and Cheval Blanc. New perspectives Art gives us a completely new insight into everything around us. Just like holidays often allow us to see our everyday routine in a new light. Your host, Florian Werner, is himself an artist and an art collector and is well aware of the enrichment provided by painting, sculpture and photography. That s why he founded the Hospiz Galerie in St. Christoph for contemporary art. It s also the reason why he introduced the Artists in Residence programme, where works are created in situ and displayed against the backdrop of the hotel s history, allowing guests to benefit from a direct insight into the creation of art and into its very essence. 16 _ Art

Tracks in the snow It was the search for that sublime sensation of gliding over the snow on skis that drove the skiing pioneers to the Arlberg over 110 years ago shortly before they founded the Arlberg Skiclub. Today, every visitor to the region can enjoy ideal skiing conditions, with 84 cable cars and 280 km of prepared pistes. The Arlberg Hospiz Hotel offers you the kind of service that allows you to make the most of it: a sports shop on the premises, professional advice, maintenance, a hire service and storage facilities for your equipment. Ready, steady, kids club! Whether it s building a snowman, playing or making things time just flies by at the Hospiz kidsclub. That s no surprise because our younger guests, children from 3 to 12 years old, are superbly looked after by trained staff. The club is open from 9am to 9pm and includes lunch and dinner. Outside, with ski instructors, the little ones try out their first turns in the snow. Watch how quickly they blossom into real slalom racers in the winter family paradise of St. Christoph.
