Subletting or subcontracting is prohibited at County Parks and Civic Centers. It is strictly prohibited for any person(s) or group to collect fees for admission to any County Parks. COMMERICAL RATES will be charged for all events for which compensation, profit, or gain will be realized, including personal, company, and promotional events. Example: Church Festival, Car Shows, etc... STANDARD RATES will be charged for all other events that do not meet the criteria of commercial users. Example: Birthday Party, Family Gathering/Reunion, etc... County Parks shall remain open to the public for every day, EXCEPT for the following County holidays Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year s Day. Any organization using a County Park or County Civic Center must contact the Bexar County Constables Security before planning their event for pricing information and scheduling requirements. 1. Cpt. AMPLIFIED MUSIC (ie: DJ s, Bands Or Loud Stereo Systems) ALLOWED ONLY at Comanche Park, Mission #1 Park, Rodriguez Park and Raymond Russell Park. All persons or groups using any sound system at Pavilions shall silence such system one (1) hour before closing. All pets must be on a leash at all times and are NOT ALLOWED ON PLAYGOUNDS. Some County Parks DO NOT allow Moon Jumps, Dunking Booths, Music, Amusement Rides, Petting Zoos, etc. Disorderly conduct is prohibited. Speed limit at ALL County Parks is 10 mph. All persons and organizations shall conduct their own clean-up of waste, refuse or other discarded materials, and shall insure that such material is deposited in proper trash/recycle receptacles ONLY. No person shall dispose of trash, junk, garbage, refuse, solid waste or other unsightly materials on County Park roads, right of ways, or other parks property, except within proper trash/recycle receptacles. No person shall willfully damage or destroy property in County Parks Public nudity is prohibited. Plants, trees, and deadwood shall not be damaged or removed from any park. Metal Detectors are not allowed and digging of any sort is prohibited. To obtain a map of the City of San Antonio you might contact the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce or procure one in your local area. Smoking is allowed in parks, but prohibited 50ft. from playground areas. Persons may build fires only in camp stoves, barbecue pits or grills, and fireplaces. Persons may not
gather or use firewood from within County Parks, unless a burn ban is in effect. Fireworks and other explosives are absolutely prohibited. Firearms are not permitted in the County Parks except those carried by a certified peace officer. No person shall carry unlawfully concealed weapons of any kind or type. Any person causing, contributing to or directly or indirectly responsible for disruptive, destructive, or violent conduct which endangers park property, any person or group, may be removed from the parks by authorized parks personnel or certified peace officer or a member of Commissioners Court or his representative. No nails, hooks, screws, thumb tacks, etc., shall be used if they might damage the surface of existing buildings. No posters, flyers, signs, political or otherwise, shall not be posted, attached or placed at the County Parks. No glass beverages containers shall be allowed in County Parks. No person, group or party shall be permitted to deep fry food in containers larger than two gallons at pavilions and grounds. The permit holder shall be responsible for making sure the excess deep fry oil is removed from park when finished with event. Park patrons must abide by the City of San Antonio Ordinance regarding noise abatement. Body contact water activities, including but not limited to swimming, bathing, and wading are prohibited in waters located in County Parks. Body contact water activities do not include fishing and or boating. All park and amenity users shall abide by park codes and regulations. Refund/Cancellation Policy: All permit fee charges for the reservation shall be refunded if the reservation is cancelled 90 days or more before the date of the event. If the cancellation occurs between 89-31 days prior to the event, half of the fee will be retained by Bexar County. Cancellations made less than 30 days before the event will NOT be refunded. The permit holder(s) shall and will fully indemnify and hold harmless Bexar County and its employees from all costs and expenses for any fines, claims, suits, losses, damages, or liability of any kind and nature in connection with, or resulting from, any activity or operation of the permit holders and/or his/her participants. 1. The permit holder (s) agrees that his/her participants and any other individuals under his/her control shall abide by, conform to, and comply with all rules and regulations and that he/she will not do, or permit to be done, anything in violation thereof. 2. The permit holder(s) shall keep the area free of litter; trash, paper, and other waste generated during his/her use of the area and shall dispose of any and all waste in trash & recycle receptacles 3. For approved cancellations, a refund check will be mailed within 8 to 10 weeks from the Auditor s Office. 4. You will need your receipt & permit or receipt with transaction ID number for on-line reservations to use the facility. A refund will not be given without the receipt.
