Croatia Multi Adventure Cruise of Southern Dalmatia 2019 Guided or Individual Self-Guided 8 days / 7 nights This multi adventure cruise in South Dalmatia is particularly well suited for families. Spend a week on a charming motor vessel that takes you from island to island, sparing you the nuisance of packing suitcases and searching for accommodations. Along with overnights in ports, we also spend some nights in quiet bays. Decide each day anew whether you would like to go on a bike trip or on a hiking tour, go rafting or rather stroll leisurely through the unique small harbor towns of the Adriatic - or simply spend the day relaxing on board. This is indeed a pleasant way of exploring southern Dalmatia, possibly Croatia s most attractive landscape. Through little stories and legends and through the country s cultural treasures - most of which are protected by UNESCO s World Heritage program - we get in touch with Croatia s eventful history. This interesting tour is rounded off by the wonderful opportunity of jumping directly off the ship into the sea for a swim. Depending on wind and weather we reserve the rights to run this tour in reverse.
Itinerary Day to Day Day 1: Trogir (Embarkation) Island of Šolta Individual arrival by car to Trogir or by plane to Split airport, which is about 5 km away from the harbor of Trogir. After check in on the motor yacht (around 2:30 pm) the first short cruise starts around 3 pm from Trogir to Island of Šolta. On the way we have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim from the boat. The first night is spent on the island of Šolta. Day 2: Islands of Hvar and Vis We go on a morning crossing to Hvar Island with its island capital Hvar town. After arrival we take a city tour across the large Renaissance Square which is surrounded by the cathedral and many late gothic palaces. There we hike to the Spanish fortress that towers above the town. From here we have a fabulous view onto the city and the surrounding islands. At about noon our boat takes us to Vis town on the island of Vis, which was already colonized by the Greeks and is the most remote inhabited island from the Dalmatian mainland. Grab the opportunity to take a refreshing swim from the boat. Ashore at Vis our tour guide will take us on a nice guided group walk in the afternoon to the fortress of St. George which played an important role in the maritime history of the island. Overnight stay at Vis. Day 3: Island of Korčula Early in the morning crossing to Račišće on the island of Korčula. An afternoon cycle tour takes us eventually to the same island capital. We take a little tour through the town to see the highlights: St Mark s Cathedral where we can admire the famous altarpiece by Jacopo Tintoretto. The alleged birthplace of explorer Marco Polo is worth a visit as well. There is also a magnificent view from the tower of the house onto the sea. After an out of town dinner the evening is spent in the bustling port town Korčula. Day 4: Island of Hvar We go on a morning crossing to Stari Grad situated on the north side of Hvar Island. After a crossing including a swim break and lunch on board we cycle nicely from Stari Grad to Jelsa. Around 5:30 pm we enter the boat and leave for our overnight stay close to Brač. Let the evening fade away anchoring with a lovely Captains dinner.
Day 5: Island Hvar and Brač After breakfast the morning offers us enough time to indulge in water activities and group activities on the beach, suitable for everyone to participate in, before we leave for Lovrecina. From here a hike (approximately 1.5 hours) leads us along the shoreline to Postira. Here you are able to enjoy an evening meal in a typical Konoba and relax in a seaside café as the sun sets after an eventful day. Overnight stay in Postira. Day 6: Cetina Canyon Omiš Island of Solta After a short crossing to Omiš with its pirate castles we have the opportunity to participate either in a rafting tour on the Cetina River (not included in the tour price) or explore the old town of Omis and its pirate castle on foot. In the afternoon we are able to swim from the boat before cruising to Rogac on the island of Solta where we will spend the night. Day 7: Island of Solta Trogir In the first half of the day we can either cycle or take a bus transfer to Goran, a local beekeeper to participate in an interactive workshop on bees, their purpose, products and the life of a beekeeper. Goran is an expert in capturing the fascination of young and old with the enthusiasm he has for the bees which he keeps. Whoever wishes to cycle more, can cycle on to Maslinica before returning to Rogac where the boat will wait. Lunch will be enjoyed on board during the last crossing by boat for the week as the captain charters his course back to Trogir. Along the way the anchor is dropped for an enjoyable dip in the Adria directly from the boat. In the afternoon we enjoy Trogir by taking a walk through the UNESCO protected old town. Traditionally the last evening before disembarkation is spent cheerfully with guests, crew and guided. Day 8: Trogir (Disembarkation) After breakfast disembarkation until 9 a.m. and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.
Route Technical Characteristics: Route Profile: The bike tours we offer here take place under the expert guidance of your tour guide, who is familiar with the terrain. The bicycle tours do not require particular physical fitness. The walks and short hikes follow good paths, which are in part even asphalted and are also not at all demanding. Should some activities require greater fitness, your tour guide will point this out beforehand. It is obligatory to wear a helmet so please bring your own, well-fitting helmet with you. A limited number of rental helmets are available on the ship (reservations necessary). Ship SAN SNOVA (Premium) The wooden motor cruiser San Snova, 31 x 8 m in size, took to the water in 2009. This magnificent construction took shape over the course of three years and sets a milestone in the boat building scene in Croatia as it is the last wooden boat of its kind to be built. The 14 guest cabins are welcoming and equipped with air conditioning and a private shower/wc. The salon and its wooden finish provides a comfortable and friendly atmosphere, supported by the many seating arrangements on deck as well as the possibility to lie comfortably on the sun deck. Bikes Four frame sizes insure optimum riding comfort for all of our guests between 1.50m 1.90m. Ladies Hybrid Men s Hybrid E-bike The i:sy-flyer ECO, a relatively light model of 21 kg, is a compact bike with a special low frame geometry for easy mounting and 20-inch wheels. The handlebar "Speedlifter Twist" is turn able, making the bike space-efficient for storage. This e-bike model is equipped with an 8-gear-Shimano hub gearshift (Nexus) as well as Shimano V-brakes. A 10-amp battery along with an 8-amp back-up allow for unlimited riding. The i:sy Flyer ECO is available for persons with a body height of 1.50 m 1.90 m. For participants taller than 1.90 m we do not have e-bikes available on this tour.
