A check with stationary radar indicated the vehicle was traveling at a steady 50 MPH on the 25 MPH roadway while passing Walnut St. As the vehicle passed me I observed it to be a yellow Ford Mustang with black racing stripes. A traffic stop was initiated and Ryan Cheatham was identified as the driver. Mr Cheatham stated he was late for work and held up by a train. He also stated that his speedometer is broke. A check of Mr Cheatham's operators license indicated he had two prior speed violations within the past twelve months. One was for traveling 56 MPH in a 25 MPH zone and the other one was for 51 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
