New Donor Cards Starting November 3rd Donor cards now have a spot for apartment and unit numbers on the address line. Please keep an eye out making sure donors fill in when necessary. Also there are two areas on the card that are highlighted. Please encourage all donors to fill out both highlighted areas. Burger Lounge Promotion Continues We still need volunteers to distribute flyers around the neighborhoods near the Burger Lounge locations Below or at any shopping centers near you. The purpose of the flyer is to bring in new donors to our donor centers. Patient Spotlight Meet Bryan In May, 2011, on National Bike to Work Day, Bryan Caraveo was hit by a dump truck while riding his bike to work. Bryan suffered a traumatic brain injury, collapsed lung, several broken ribs; along with a broken nose, clavicle and vertebrae. During his long recovery, he underwent 2 surgeries and required several blood transfusions. Bryan is doing well now, he has even become a regular blood donor and he is always eager to help by sharing his story with the community.
Bloodmobile Greeter Schedule November 2017 The average time for blood drives is approximately five to six hours. To ensure that your time is respected, an optional time commitment is available: four hour shift minimum. Please indicate if you would like a four hour shift when signing up for blood drives. Procedures number listed following the blood drive time corresponds to the donor projection for that particular drive. Please note, the blood drive schedule is subject to change. If you have already signed up for a drive in November, it will NOT be listed unless it needs more than one volunteer.
