OUR CAMP STAFF ABOUT CAMP At North River Camp in Marshfield, children ages 4.5 to 14 are encouraged to explore their curiosity about the natural world. Campers have fun, make friends, and experience nature through outdoor play and discovery at our 225- acre wildlife sanctuary. Daily activities include trail explorations, habitat investigations, hands-on experiments, wildlife observation, creative games and crafts, and more. Each day a new adventure awaits! OUR CAMP DIRECTOR This is Camp Director Amy Quist s twelfth year as Camp Director. Amy is also Education Coordinator for Mass Audubon s South Shore Sanctuaries, developing and leading programs for schools, groups, and families within the community. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with a focus in Environmental Interpretation, and a master s degree in Science Education, both from the University of Maine. Her favorite part of camp is helping kids practice their quiet observation skills and then sharing the experience of an exciting wildlife sighting! Staff are carefully selected for their maturity and ability to work with children in an outdoor setting. Our counselors are enthusiastic and caring individuals, dedicated to helping campers develop a special relationship with nature. All undergo background checks, are first aid and CPR certified, and participate in a pre-camp training in safety, child development, and natural history.
