BACKGROUND Each year the City of Rowlett hosts 13 events as part of its Downtown Event Series. These events are put on in large part, by local businesses and a portion of the hotel/motel tax levied on hotels and motels located in the City of Rowlett. In exchange for publicity for the business, the City of Rowlett Parks & Recreation Department uses all donations to produce the marketing and activities at each event listed: MONTH EVENT ATTENDANCE OCTOBER Diversity Day 400 NOVEMBER Veterans Day Ceremony 300 DECEMBER Main Street Fest 8,000 MARCH Easter Eggstravaganza 2,500 MAY Memorial Day 2,500 featuring Touch A Truck JULY Fireworks on Main 12,000 AUGUST Concert Series 2,000 (4 concerts) SEPTEMBER Movies on Main 1,100 (3 movies) SPONSORSHIP MARKETING OBJECTIVES: Obtain corporate sponsors for the Downtown Event Series. Raise the profile of the Downtown Event Series in the City of Rowlett and metroplex wide which is measured through a 10% increase in media coverage and 5% increase in request for booths at events. Securing two Hall of Fame Sponsors to offset the costs of the larger events including Fireworks on Main and Main Street Fest. Produce a balanced event budget through sponsorships for the Downtown Event Series. The City of Rowlett Parks and Recreation Department absorbed the Youth Baseball of Rowlett Program January 2016. We host games at the Community Park Baseball Fields, located at 8500 St. Andrews Ln. Rowlett, TX, 75088. Homerun fence signs are one of the best ways to advertise your business and show your support for RYBL. The park has an average weekly attendance of 3,750 visitors and holds Birthday Party reservations as well as Group reservations.
