General terms and conditions The following commercial terms and conditions apply for Trondheim Port Authority unless otherwise provided by law and related regulations or decisions. No liability is accepted for misprints. Ordering quay and service In order for Trondheim Port Authority to grant you docking rights a formal request needs to be sent including: previous harbour, next harbour, security level of the vessel, waste declaration, intention to load and unload goods and invoice receivers. It is necessary to announce expected arrival time (ETA) at Trondheim harbour latest 24hours in advance. Trondheim Port Authority can provide the following services upon request that have been sent to Trondheim Port Authority by latest 12 am the previous day: cleaning, snow shoveling, digging, security, boat transportation, towing, water supply, mooring and more. Services are provided according to available capacity. Duty to provide information Trondheim Port Authority can demand a copy of documentation to fulfill public requirements to keep statistics. This includes all information and documentation necessary to control, calculate and collect fees. Conditions for Harbour due Vessels calling within Trondheim Port Authority s port areas are subject to a harbour due. The harbour due is calculated using the vessel s gross tonnage (GT) as stated in the vessel s tonnage certificate, pursuant to the International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships of 1969. The harbour due covers the Port Authority's costs related to facilitating safety and accessibility in the harbour fairway. If vessels are calling due to injury or emergency, where the vessel does not load, unload or take on board passengers, they are exempt from the obligation to pay the harbour due. Conditions for Quay due Vessels calling at Trondheim Port Authority s public quays are subject to a quay due. The quay due is calculated using the gross tonnage (GT) of the vessel. Quay dues are payment for the use of Trondheim Port Authority s quays, and are paid according to the length of stay, although never less than for 24 hours. The length of stay is defined as the time between berthing and unberthing, and is broken down to number of days. Six hours or less on one day will be counted as half a day. 3
ISPS fee Vessels calling at Trondheim Port Authority s public quays are subject to an ISPS fee. The ISPS fee is calculated by the total number of passengers. The fee covers the Port Authority s ISPS costs. Discounts The following discounts apply: Seasonal discount: Cruise ships calling during off-season get 50 % discount on the harbour due rate. The season for cruise ship calls is 1 st May to 30 th September. Frequency discount: Any cruise line (operating under the same brand name) calling five or more times within the same calendar year is entitled to a 20 % discount on harbour due rates on the fifth and subsequent calls. Environmental discount: Cruise ships with a valid ESI certificate and a total ESI score of: 30 to 50 points are granted a 20% discount on harbour dues 50 points or more are granted a 30% discount on harbour dues It is the cruise lines responsibility to hand-in the ESI certificate for each calling vessel in time in order to obtain the discount. Accumulated discounts cannot exceed a sum of 50% in discounts. 4

Turnaround fee When cruise ship passengers start or finish their cruise in Trondheim, a turnaround fee will be charged in addition to the ISPS fee. The amount of the fee will be determined in agreement with the shipbroker/agent. 5

A minimum of 4 working hours are charged. Order must be received 24 hours prior to use. Outside normal working hours the fee related to transportation increases according to the hiring fees (see Hiring Cost). Garbage disposal The garbage disposal service shall be ordered directly from the waste disposal company by the ship, agent or cruise line. Payment is collected by the waste disposal company. Trondheim Port Authority can provide information about relevant service providers. Other services Other services are available at Trondheim Port Authority by request. 6
Mooring services The agent must order the service directly from a mooring company that is authorized by Trondheim Port Authority. The mooring company Trondheim Boatman is authorized to sell mooring services, and their prices are listed below.
