Scope and Content: A collection of plat maps from the 1950s-1970s showing lots in each part of Cleveland and Cuyahoga Co OH, and sometimes the landowners. Access: No restrictions. These are heavy and the volunteer/staff on duty on any particular day may not be able to handle them without assistance. Digital camera permitted; no copy machine since they are too large to handle safely. Provenance: Created by the Cuyahoga Abstract Title & Trust Company, Drafting Department, of Cleveland, Ohio. The successor was LandAmerica, 1500 W Third St., Cleveland OH. A large collection of probate case file index cards and miscellaneous title abstracts were donated to OGS by John Grecol, Fairview Park OH in 1999. The donation was arranged by OGS Cleveland District trustees Dianne Young and Jean Barnes. The maps were added in 2010 at the time that OGS had constructed its new library (and had space for them). Jean Barnes made arrangements for the donation at that time. I believe that they had been in storage with another institution as Mr. Grecol was deceased.
