September 13-16 Smithwoods Felton, CA Vice President s notes from Betabel Outing hour and and a delicious pot luck dinner. Did I mention rain! Yes it did. Wow, it has been 3 months since our Christmas extravaganza at Casa de Fruta and we all had lots to catch up on. We had 16 rigs at Betabel on a rainy, wet weekend. That did not dampen out spirits. Thank you to our wagon masters, Jerry and Pat Brick, Frank and Betty Rausch, and Chris and Paul Sommer. We welcomed Ted and Nancy Simon as our guests and we now welcome them as our newest members. Saturday began with a comfort breakfast that our Wagon Masters prepared to start the day off right. Then followed the business meeting and Bob Swanson s tech talk. Jerry Brick set up a visit to See Grin s RV where we got to touch and feel some of the new rigs without sales pressure. Of course they also had free hamburgers and hot dogs. Dinner was a traditional leprechaun feast of corned beef and cabbage, boiled potatoes, carrots and desert. We had more games to complete the night. Keep in mind the upcoming State Meeting at Casa de Fruta April 19-22. LCW will be preparing the Friday night dinner. It looks like Larry has plenty of help. Our next LCW outing will be Gold Strike Village in San Andreas, May 3-7. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon. Your Vice President, Phil Hayden Our first night started with happy hour and dinner at Infamous Dave s BBQ where the conversation was interesting and the service was slow. The drinks were late, and some of the food was cold. Did that dampen our spirits? No way! Friday was games in the club house followed by happy Page 1
