With memories and emotions of the time fading, many areas of Japan have returned to the rhythm of daily life, especially in Tokyo. A series of four main events at Haneda Airport offer the public an opportunity to deliver their own message to Tohoku residents, while ensuring our collective memory of what happened in Fukushima does not fade, demonstrating support for Tohoku's recovery and bringing about a new spirit for the all Japan s future. One photographer, Katsuhiro Ichikawa, has made it his life work to visit each part of Tohoku and take hundreds of photographs in support of the region in a special exhibition, the 'Fukushima Smile Project', while offering a Special Photo Studio where members of the public can send their own photographic message of support. NPO Artist for a Day offers a Children s Tohoku Art Workshop for younger members of the public to create their own art for Tohoku through three workshops, and a 'Tohoku Now' exhibition offers produce from the region.
