THE ITINERARY Day 9 Haifa, Israel Arrive at 7:00am Haifa, a large port in northern Israel, is the perfect setting off point for excursions of great interest, especially if you would like to learn more about three of the largest religions in the world. In Israel, the three Religions of the Book, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, encounter each other at every angle. MSC Cruises offers a short excursion to locations described in the Bible (not included). After visiting places such as Bethlehem, Nazareth, Cana and Jerusalem, you will be able to truthfully say that you have tread on the same ground as the prophets, the disciples of Jesus and the Arab conquerors. Day 12 Rhodes, Greece 9:00am 6:00pm Dock today on the island of Rhodes in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, one of the finest medieval walled cities you could ever hope to see. Its northernmost headland is straddled by Rhodes Town, the largest town on the island, in full view of Turkey less than 20km north. In summer, most people head to the beach during the day, so early morning or late afternoon are the best times to explore the maze of narrow streets. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history.
