1. General Rules on Waste Reception The Port of Kalundborg has established the waste reception facilities in accordance with acts at present in force. Vessels calling at the Port of Kalundborg are obliged to dispose of their waste before leaving the Harbour, cf. the Ministerial Order of the Danish Ministry of the Environment no. 415 of 10 May 2012. The following general rules are to be observed: Time of delivery: Waste delivery shall take place during the Port s working hours. The fixed working hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM. Ships calling at the Port of Kalundborg outside working hours may deliver waste only if the ship can document that delivery at previous or following harbours within working hours is not possible. Special conditions prevail - see appendix 2 for each waste type. Notification: Ships planning to call at Port of Kalundborg must no later than 24 hours prior to arriving send a notification of waste delivery. See details in section 6. Amounts: Exempt of fee is only garbage corresponding to the type and size of the ship and in relation to the prior port of call. For most ships this amounts to a 700 litres garbagecontainer. For larger amounts of garbage and cargo residues separate payments according to the tariff will be collected. If there is a need for disposal of amounts larger than fitted to harbour capacity, the Port may grant an exemption, cf. the rules of the Ministerial Order Types: The reception facilities and obligation to deliver for each type of waste are stated in appendix 2. Oil waste/oil composites of any kind containing petrochemicals, products of toxicity class I & II, or emulsifying substances are not received. Companies who ship or receive fluids in bulk, and companies who repair ships, shall receive fluid ballasting and tank washing fluids themselves, and they must ensure and defray the expenses of delivery of these fluids to a treatment facility approved by the Authorities. Property Right: The property right to the garbage is transferred to Port of Kalundborg, when the waste is accepted and received at the approved reception facility. Responsibility: The ship-owner vouch for the correctness of all information given by the shipmaster on the waste in terms of type, composition, amounts, time of collection, and damages caused by errors or defects, including during servicing. Thus the ship-owner is responsible for any damage resulting from incorrect, misleading, or insufficient information provided by the shipmaster. This also applies to damages inflicted upon a third party as a result of incorrect, misleading, or insufficient information provided by the shipmaster. According to current Ministerial Order, ships eg. omitting to deliver waste in accordance with the regulations of the Ministerial Order, or omitting to observe the demand for notification, will be imposed a fine. If the actions are negligent, the punishment may even be mitigated imprisonment or up to 2 years imprisonment. Delays and loss of time due to waste delivery are irrelevant to the Port of Kalundborg. For further information please contact Port of Kalundborg: Tel: +(45) 59 53 40 00, Fax.: +(45) 59 53 40 03, E-mail: info@portofkalundborg.dk Reception of waste is administered by the operations department at Port of Kalundborg. Page 3 of 13

2. Purpose and description of the Port s waste reception facilities By the establishment of effective reception facilities Port of Kalundborg wishes to contribute to a positive effect on the environment by responsible handling of the ships' garbage and cargo residues. The aim is to provide a smooth delivery of waste from ships calling on Danish harbours - and thereby contribute to the reduction of marine pollution. Each shipmaster is kindly requested to familiarise himself with the working hours and the level of service at the reception facility as well as identifying the responsible person. Furthermore, each shipmaster is requested to divide his waste into fractions fitting into the sorting system chosen by Port of Kalundborg, see the table in appendix 2 for further information. The table is based on the MARPOL fractions. 3. Types and amount of receivable garbage and possible cargo residues The amounts of waste delivered at Port of Kalundborg from 01.01.2013 to 31.12.2013 were composed as follows: 93,7 tons of garbage (refuse / galley waste) 247 tons of slop oil 215 m 3 of sewage wastewater (black water) The amounts of garbage are stated by the recipient. The Port of Kalundborg requests the waste recipients send an annual account of waste amounts, and the Port will actively work at making the ships fill in the Notification Formula (appendix 4) before arrival. 4. Information on placement of the reception facilities The Port of Kalundborg uses mobile devices, except for ferries. A series of waste containers for the ships' garbage and galley waste are placed on the Harbour area. Containers for oil waste, etc. are placed at the fishing harbour and yachting harbour. The location of the permanent reception facilities is marked on the outline map of the Harbour area in Appendix 1. 5. Description of the fee scheme The fee for delivery of garbage is guided by the No-Special-Fee principle (NSF), which means that all expenses for waste disposal and expenses for establishment and operation of the reception facilities are included in the usual harbour charges. However, separate payment is collected if one or more of the following points are valid: The amount of waste to be delivered is larger than the amount of waste the ship - considering its type and size - would usually generate since its previous harbour call. Normally max. 700 litres. The waste is delivered outside working hours. The ship does not pay harbour charges. The ship omits to notify the Harbour within 24 hours of its disposal needs. This rule does not apply if the ship can present documentation of the the fact that observation of the 24-hour notification has not been possible. All cargo waste (cargo residues) are subject to separate payment. The fee for delivery of other types of waste appears in appendix 2, where possible fees are stated for each of the major MARPOL waste types. The Port s expenses connected to handling of waste appears in the Annual Accounts of the Port. 6. Written notification Page 4 of 13

Shipmasters planning to call at Port of Kalundborg must within 24 hours prior to arrival submit a written notification to the Harbour. The notification may be send by the ship's local agent. The demand for notification applies to all ships with the exception of ferries, towboats, pilot boat, fishing boats, and pleasure crafts. A notification formula is attached in appendix 4. The notification formula may be obtained in Danish and English at the Harbour Master's Office, or can be found on the port s homepage or at the homepage of the Danish EPA (www.portofkalundborg.dk or www.mst.dk ). The formula is to be sent or faxed +(45) 59 53 40 03, or e-mailed: info@portofkalundborg.dk 7. Assessment of the need for changes in the Harbour's reception facilities and capacity The Port of Kalundborg continuously assesses the existing facilities for reception of the various types of waste, and adapts the capacity to the current conditions to obtain sufficient capacity. Reports from users on insufficient capacity are continuously treated by the Harbour to assure sufficient capacity. Environmental Garbage Envitonmental garbage (oilpoluted rags, oilfilters, batteries, cemicals etc.) is gathered in a container. This is emptied once every month. The garbage is collected by the the local authorities environmental department. Sewage: The Port of Kalundborg uses a mobile unit (mud pump) called in from the city's sewage disposal plant, except for the ferry port where pipelines are connected to the public sewer. Fishing boats and pleasure crafts may dispose of wastewater from chemical toilets in the harbour toilets facilities. Furthermore, pleasure crafts are referred to the nearby yachting harbour where they will find a permanent installation for emptying of holding tanks and chemical toilets. Slop oil and other types of waste oil: The Port of Kalundborg uses a mobile unit (tanker) from Dansk Olie Genbrug A/S (DOG) in Kalundborg. Fishing boats and pleasure crafts may dispose of waste oil in the oil drums placed under the shed roof at the fishing harbour. Three sets of waste containers with drums for waste oil, paint residues/chemicals and residual waste are placed in connection with the winter berths for pleasure crafts. Garbage (refuse / galley waste): The ferry to Samsø dispose all of their garbage at Samsø, so it has an exception to deliver garbage in Kalundborg. The pilot boat, fishing boats and pleasure crafts may use the containers placed within the harbour area, including the municipal bottle containers places at the fishing harbour. Other ships may requisition separate containers for disposal of garbage through the Harbour Master's Office Garbage from cargo vessels calling at the Harbour is not currently sorted, but is disposed unsorted into the container, after which it is brought to incineration. Accumulators, iron and chemicals are to be placed at the quay next to the container. Updating: Every three years a thorough revision of the total waste plan is carried out in preparation for necessary alterations. Page 5 of 13

8. Consultation of Port users Wen necessesary the Port of Kalundborg summons a number of frequent harbour users to discuss the efficiency of the reception facilities. 9. Reporting by insufficient capacity Reporting in case of insufficient waste recipient capacity should be made to the Harbour Master's Office, see appendix 5, Formula for Complaint. The complaint is to be sent to the Port, who in turn will then send a copy to the Danish EPA. 10. The coming into force These regulations will come into force on the 16. of December 2014 substituting regulations previously disseminated.
