Counity Developent Director The City of Roseville, Minnesota, is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking Counity Developent Director to play a strategic leadership role in helping shape the vision for how the counity will grow and develop. The Counity Developent Director anages a staff of 12 and is a departent-head level position that reports to the City Manager. The candidate should be a strong counicator with the ability to deonstrate knowledge of and experience in counity developent that leads to high credibility with the public, custoers, and elected and appointed officials. They should possess experience in providing strategic leadership, with the ability to have high-level policy discussions around difficult and coplex issues in sall or large public settings. The Counity Developent Departent The Roseville Econoic Developent Authority (REDA) was established in 2015 to coordinate and adinister econoic developent and redevelopent plans and progras for the city. The REDA adinisters progras forerly adinistered by the Roseville Housing and Redevelopent Authority. The Planning Division s ission is to develop recoendations on coprehensive land use planning and zoning progras in a anner consistent with city policies. Planning works closely with all departents, Planning Coission, Variance Board, REDA and City Council to prepare and design developent projects as well as provide guidance to property owners. Building Perits/Code Enforceent ensures public safety and health standards related to building construction and land use are aintained for the welfare of the counity. This provides a safer counity for all through proper construction ethods and provides for enhanced neighborhood livability and property values. The GIS Division coordinates the city s geographic data base syste. The division is responsible for iproving city apping and data anageent, linking GIS to perits, creating web versions of aps, and using GIS technology for long range planning. The division collaborates with other governental units to axiize the accuracy of GIS data and to iprove overall efficiency.
