ACTIVITIES LODGING CLIMATE Cruise through Patagonian waterways, take exciting Zodiac expeditions, and enjoy short, easy hikes. Spend five days aboard a small luxury expedition ship. The ships include open and comfortable public areas - accompanied by exceptional cuisine and lectures. Patagonia's weather can change rapidly. Expect sunshine, clouds, rain, wind and maybe snow. During the cruise season, temperatures fluctuate between 41F-59F. Marcelo was born in Santiago de Chile and currently resides in Mauricio s relationship with traveling, mountaineering, and the Magallanes region. He started working on Australis nearly photography began at an early age in the Torres del Paine 10 years ago and is passionate about showing Patagonia, National Park. Nearly 30 years ago, he started working as a place he believes to be, the most beautiful place on a seasonal guide. His mountaineering then led him to the earth. Marcelo speaks Spanish, English, and French. He is a Pyrenees and Alps where before returning to Patagonia to tremendous leader, and loves leading MT Sobek guests on the focus on the natural history of the region. He joined Australis in Australis to the end of the earth, and back! 2005, and specializes in history, the photography of flora. Itinerary DAY 1 ARRIVE IN PUNTA ARENAS Arrive in Punta Arenas and board your cruise ship. After a welcome cocktail reception, the ship will depart, traveling through the Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel to explore one of the most breathtaking wilderness regions in the world: Southern Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. Meals: (D) DAY 2 EXPLORE AINSWORTH BAY & TUCKERS ISLET Arrive at Ainsworth Bay inside of Alberto De Agostini National Park, and view the Marinelli Glacier from a distance (weather allowing). Walk to a beaver dam in the marvelous subpolar Magellanic forest and look for elephant seals on the beach. Then, sail to Tuckers Islet and board a Zodiac to view Magellanic Penguins, which only live in the Southern Hemisphere. In September and April, this excursion is replaced by a trip to Brookes Bay, where we land for a short walk to a glacier. Meals: (B) / (L) /(D) DAY 3 CRUISE PIA GLACIER & GLACIER ALLEY Cruise the Beagle Channel and enter a narrow fjord before disembarking near Pia Glacier. Take a short hike to a lookout point with a spectacular view of the entire glacier tongue, stretching from high in the mountains all the way to the sea. After this unforgettable experience, continue sailing along the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel through majestic "Glacier Alley." Meals: (B) / (L) /(D) DAY 4 WULAIA BAY & SAIL CAPE HORN Sail through the Murray Channel between Navarino and Hoste islands and drop anchor at historic Wulaia Bay, an area renowned for its mesmerizing beauty, and stroll through a Magellanic forest to reach a lookout point with sweeping views. In the afternoon we cruise across Nassau Bay and disembark at Cape Horn National Park
(weather permitting). This sheer, rocky promontory is known as the "End of the Earth" and is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Meals: (B) / (L) /(D) DAY 5 USHUAIA Arrive in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, and disembark between 8:30-9:00am. Meals: (B)
