I/ Precautions due to presence of Wind Turbines in the vicinity of EBAV. Strict PPR is applied due to 3 wind turbines in close vicinity of the circuit (DOWNWIND) : Every time you plan to visit EBAV, it is mandatory to call and identify yourself and inform about the current arrival conditions. Call the airfield commanders (see page 4) or the airfield operator (see page 3) to obtain landing clearance. They will explain the arrival specifics given the current conditions. The airfield will be permitted only after the visiting pilot will have made a reconnaissance flight with a flight instructor of his choice. Should no flight instructor be available, then the candidate should come to EBAV by road and practice the circuit approach with an Aeroclub de Hesbaye instructor (see page 12). He will then enter 'authorised for landing at EBAV' in his/her personal flight logbook. This authorisation remains valid indefinitely provided the pilot performs at least one approach and landing a year. In the other event, the pilot needs to make an instructor accompanied flight. The airfield is accessible to all practicing certified flight instructors without restrictions. For visual representation, see next page. Page 22
