The Grand Opening Ribbon-cutting Ceremony with 45 industry leaders A Ribbon-cutting Ceremony was grandly held to celebrate the opening of MEDICAL JAPAN 2018 with exhibitors and visitors from all over the world. At MEDICAL JAPAN 2018, 45 industry leaders, consisting of top executives of hospitals, medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, governmental officials and international organisations, joined the event as ribboncutting dignitaries to express their commitment towards the show and further development of the industry. The Ideal Gateway for International Exhibitors Debut in Japan Medical device and product manufacturers of various nationalities exhibited to introduce cutting-edge ideas/technologies to the world s leading medical market, Japan. One of the exhibitors was LAMEDITECH from Korea, who presented an innovative Laser Lancing Device "HandyRay", which enables more comfortable and safer capillary blood collection without a needle. So there is no needle pinch! Throat Scope Pty Ltd from Australia introduced their first Throat Scope to the industry. Throat Scope is a tongue depressor that has an LED installed, lighting up the entire mouth and throat. The doctor can use the free hand to support the patient s head. This attracted the huge attention from the visitors. In fact, most of such international exhibitors were newcomers to Japan and even did not have medical device registration in Japan yet. Show Management offered them a special support, called Matching Support with Importers, which enabled them to meet the right Japanese importers/distributors to start business. Over 470 meetings were on site. Such strong support makes MEDICAL JAPAN an unrivalled gateway for all foreign exhibitors who aim to enter and achieve success in Japan.

Conference by Key Industry Leaders During the show period, the Conferences was held in parallel to the exhibition. 300 sessions covered the latest trends in Japan where rapid population aging hits the whole healthcare industry. These drew great deal of attention from 13,577 attendees and put great impact to the industry. The number of attendees increased approximately 2,000 from the previous edition and sessions garnered high visitor satisfaction. Industry leaders speeches including cutting-edge technology and trends brought the conference to success. Expectation for the Next Edition The next show (20th 22nd February, 2019 at INTEX OSAKA, JAPAN) will be scaled up and become even more international, gathering 1360* exhibitors and 30,000* visitors (*expected). Undoubtedly exhibitors are very much satisfied with the show in 2018, as reflected in the number of booking and reservation for our next show. Most of the exhibit spaces of MEDICAL JAPAN 2019 were booked by the end of the show, mostly by satisfied exhibitors who aim to reserve a larger space for the next time, and also many new comers who see the potential. And thus, early booking is highly recommended! Book your space for 2019 show Medical Japan will be your gateway to expand your international business!
