1. Overview The 9 th INWEPF Steering Meeting and Symposium In 2010, as a result of the INWEPF 7 th Steering Meeting in Korea, the INWEPF Myanmar Committee agreed to host the 9 th INWEPF Steering Meeting and Symposium, which is scheduled from 5 th to 9 th of November, 2012. The Steering Meeting, which is held once a year, is the managing body to make decisions on the INWEPF activities. And the Joint Symposium will be held under the theme of Water Management for Paddy Field Irrigation and Impacts of Climate Change. 2. Call for paper In the forthcoming 9 th INWEPF Steering Meeting and Symposium, we invite international delegations, professionals, experts from all INWEPF member countries to submit presentation papers and posters for the symposium theme and/or related to Topics and Sub-Topics. Theme for INWEPF Symposium Water Management for Paddy Field Irrigation and Impacts of Climate Change Topics and Sub-Topics Water Management in Paddy Fields Allocation of water in flood and drought periods Modernization of water planning and operations Vision and Policy development Impacts of Climate Change on Paddy Irrigation Potential Climate Change impacts to the water resources Policy Response to the potential Climate Change impacts on paddy irrigation. Exhibition To share the experiences of Myanmar, materials related to symposium theme will be exhibited for two days in five booths. At the same floor, for the Poster presentation boards, we invite to submit poster presentation from all INWEPF member countries.

9. Visa All delegates are required to posses Passports that are valid for at least 6 months, or applicable travel documents, with visas or entry permits for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. (1) All participants including their families need to send copy of their passport and CV (abbreviate) with Registration Forms not later than 31 st August, 2012 for applying of Entry Visa to Myanmar.
