SKOPJE & OHRID S BACKGROUND In 2008, TAV has been awarded with the development and operation of Macedonia s two international airports: Skopje (SKP) and Ohrid International Airports (OHD). SKP, located in the capital city Skopje and OHD, located on the coast line of Lake Ohrid are the only international airports in the country, serving as the gateways of Macedonia to the world. Operator of 13 airports worldwide, TAV took over the operations of SKP and OHD International Airports in March 2010.

MACEDONIA TRAVEL IS LIBERAL AND EASY No Schengen Visa Requirement Anymore: The European Parliament has adopted the visa liberalization for Macedonia, on December 19, 2009. Macedonia joined Europe s visa-free regime which covers about 500 million citizens and a territory of 4.3 million m 2. Macedonian nationals are also able to travel visa-free to Switzerland, Iceland and Norway, which are not EU members, but are part of the Schengen area. No more traffic restrictions: Macedonia is also a member of the European Common Aviation Area (ECAA), where traffic growth shall be based on free market access, freedom of establishment, equal conditions of competition, and common rules including in the areas of safety, security, air traffic management, social and environment.
