Welcome About our Camp Each week, children ages 5-14 jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. Our campers expand their horizons, embark on new adventures, and most importantly have fun. Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! Our camp features a unique selection of indoor and outdoor activities and field trips that take advantage of resources in the local area. Our specialty camps are optional programs, operating during the morning of our regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures. Specialty camps run from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (except American Inline which will run from 9:00-12:30). Activity Blocks Invention Convention Calling all inventors! We know our campers have big ideas and we want to see them in action. Invention Convention will focus on brainstorming, designing and sharing invention ideas. Digital Vision Campers explore the tools necessary to capture great images and videos, and refine them through digital imaging. Minute to Win It Campers will get a thrill from working together to complete fun, and sometimes silly, tasks all before time runs out on the clock. Ready, set, go! Recycled Beautifully Our campers will see how one person's trash can be another person's treasure by turning recycled materials into beautiful and useful items. STEAM Academy Challenging and fun projects encourage collaboration, decision making, and innovation. Students work together to solve problems, while developing a love of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Leave a Legacy Campers learn about how they can be heroes in their communities, and find creative ways to give back to those in need. Express Yourself Let your hidden talents shine! Campers develop creativity and confidence through singing, dancing, acting and more. Rise Up Dream it. Build it. Wreck it. Repeat! Campers build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles, while exploring fundamental principles of engineering and physics. Game Changer We hope our campers are ready for some good old fashioned fun. They ll have a blast building their skills in a variety of indoor and outdoor games. Food for Thought Campers learn kitchen fundamentals and culinary techniques as they slip on their aprons and create yummy snacks. They'll be a master chef in no time! Domino Tricks The game of dominoes is fun, but we have a little twist in store for our campers. We are challenging campers to come up with their best domino toppling tricks. Master Maker From painting, to sculpting, to drawing and more, campers are empowered to express their inner artist and let their imaginations soar.
Academic Camps Icon or Photo Kindergarten Prep Camp (Offered Week 1-10) $240 (price includes Day Camp in afternoon) Welcome to Kindergarten Kick Off! This is the only camp Chesterbrook offers for rising Kindergarten students. Students will be introduced back into the classroom atmosphere with exciting, fun, and educational learning centers and a hands on activity with a focus on Language Arts and Math. Through small group and differentiated instruction, the skills set we will review or extend include: Reading readiness concepts (left-right, top-bottom etc.), Decoding and encoding, Word families, Number sense, Number recognition, Solving mathematical problems using manipulatives, Writing, Listening Comprehension, Proper pencil grip and cutting, and Practice independence and self-advocacy. Their mornings will be academic in nature and afternoons will aim towards developing their socio-emotional growth as they participate in sports, Arts & Crafts, Water Days, experiments, and team-building activities. This is a great opportunity for your child to successfully transition into our Kindergarten program. Rising First & Second & Third Grade Academic Prep Camp (Offered Week 2-9) $250 (price includes Day Camp in afternoon) Students will be introduced back into the classroom atmosphere with exciting, fun, and educational learning centers and a hands on activity with a focus on Language Arts and Math. Through small group and differentiated instruction, the skills set we will review or extend include: Decoding and encoding, Word families, Vocabulary, Number and Operations, Algebra and Algebraic Thinking, Writing Process, Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension, Practice independence and time management skills. This camp will be conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. These campers will join their peers at noon and participate in all scheduled afternoon activities and field trips. Our summer camp gives an unforgettable experience for your child by providing expert instruction, match play, rules & etiquette lessons that keep them active throughout the program. We use modified equipment (e.g. lower bouncing balls, mini nets, smaller court sizes) and provide prizes and loaner equipment (racquets, balls) for all participants. Ideal for beginner and intermediate players. Students are introduced to basic 3D modeling terms and techniques while using their imagination to create fun things to print such as custom shapes and logos, and items. Caricature, personification, and colorful detailing animate starfish, angelfish, sharks, turtles and other sea creatures. Compositional skills are strengthened in scenic layouts. THIS CAMP IS FULL Vendor: Personal Chef Services Lego Mechanics and Engineering (Week 6 July 16-20) (1 st -2 nd ) 9:00-11:00 $410/a week (includes day camp in afternoon) Powered by the LEGO Education WeDo Base Set and Software, our Jr. Lego Robotics class combines the exciting world of Lego with programming to manipulate and program your own personal robots. This class is tailored to younger children who want to learn the basics of visual programming. Students create commands for their robots to follow by using an application with a dragand-drop interface that is visually simple to use, but capable of complex instructions. Students learn the importance of teamwork by working together with a partner in order to accomplish the build assignment for the day. During this one week camp, campers will learn how to use selection tools, how to use layers, how to re-size, rotate and crop images, and how to apply different text effects. This incredible tool will transform the way you look at images and advertising! During Bowling Camp, campers will be will learn all about bowling instruction and learning including release, balance, timing, reading lanes, and much more. The camp bowlers will also take a trip on the last day of this camp to the bowling alley to test their newly learned skills!

Use graphic art techniques to draw a stylized roller coaster and boldly patterned tropical fish. During this week of Introduction to Spanish Conversational Language, campers will review the basics of the Spanish Language and have casual conversations so they can practice their conversational Spanish skills with another Spanish speaker. This will be a fun and easy way to practice their language skills! This is a great camp to improve on any Spanish knowledge you already may have! Skateboarding Camp (Week 7 July 23-27) (1 st -4 th ) 9:00 12:30 $390/a week (includes day camp in afternoon) Ready, set, go! Whether your child has never been on a skateboard and wants to learn, or they want to improve their skills and gain confidence this camp will put your little shredder on the fast track to being a better rider. This skateboard camp is packed with safe, fun and thrilling activities. Under the supervision of American Inline coaches, skateboard campers receive instruction on how to safely push, ride, carve, tack turn, ride ramps, ride fakie, rock n roll, rock to fakie and grind. We bring our little mobile skate park to Chesterbrook Elementary Summer with launch ramps, wedge ramps and a fun box, all small enough for beginning skateboard riders. Each day includes private and group instruction, skateboard courses and skating games. Participants receive a camp T-shirt and sticker. Ages 5 to 9 years. Staff to participant ratio: 1:6. Specialty Camps Week 7 & 8 Biking Camp (Week 7 July 23-27) (1 st -4 th ) 9:00 12:30 $390/a week (includes day camp in afternoon) Learning to ride a bike is a rite of passage; a skill that once acquired, is never forgotten. Teach a child to ride and you have opened the doors to a lifetime of fresh air fun and two wheeled adventures. The key rule when teaching a child to ride: keep it fun. No matter what your skill level, this bike riding camp will put you on the fast track to becoming a better, more confident bike rider. Beginners will learn how to ride without the assistance of training wheels. Learn how to start, stop, pedal, balance and coast, basic riding skills, braking, turning and steering. Those who can already ride can increase their skills by learning how to brake faster, stop quicker, steer better, play bike games, ride confidence courses, short tours and more.
