Profile History 1938 An airbase is built on a site located between Schwechat and Fischamend. 1945 The airport is taken over by the Allies. A Royal Air Force Station is constructed and the first scheduled flights of the post-war era are flown. 1954/55 Vienna Airport becomes a civilian aerodrome. Founding of the operating company Flughafen Wien Betriebsgesellschaft mbh 1959 Runway 11/29 (then 12/30) is extended to 3,000 metres. 1960 New passenger terminal inaugurated with capacity for 409,000 passengers. 1

1973 Annual traffic volume surpasses 2 million passengers and 30,000 tonnes of cargo. 1977 The General Aviation Center (GAC) goes into operation at Vienna International Airport, as do new facilities at Vöslau Airfield. A second 3,600-metre runway (16/34) is opened. 1979 VIP & Business Centre is inaugurated. 1981 Remote heating pipeline begins supplying the airport from the OMV oil refinery in Schwechat. Number of passengers handled surpasses the 3 million mark for the first time. π 1982 Airport motorway A4 completed, connecting the airport with the Austrian motorway network. 1986 Opening of the expanded arrival hall, new administrative building, new cargo facilities and computer centre. 1988 Inauguration of the East Pier Terminal, equipped with eight finger gates. 1989 For the first time Vienna International Airport handles over five million passengers and 50,000 tonnes of cargo in a single year. 1990 World Trade Center opens 1991 Vienna International Air Cargo Center is inaugurated; multi-storey Car Park 3 opens for business, capable of accommodating 2,000 cars. 1992 Flughafen Wien Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.h. is transformed into a public limited company with share capital totalling ATS 2 billion and listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange. 1993 Extension of the PLAZA Shopping arcade completed in the transit area. 1994 Construction of the West Pier commences. π 1995 The free float is raised by 27% to 46.86% when the government surrenders some of its shares, resulting in a new shareholder structure: Republic of Austria (17.38%), Province of Lower Austria (17.38%), City of Vienna (17.38%), private shareholders (46.86%), Schipol Airport (1.00%). Flughafen Wien AG s share capital is increased by ATS 100 m to ATS 2.1 billion. 1996 The West Pier Terminal, equipped with 12 finger gates, opens to the public. 1997 Runway 11/29 extended by 500 metres to 3,500 metres, bringing it up to ICAO category IIIb standards. 1998 The Master Plan 2015, detailing the expansion plans for Vienna International Airport up to the year 2015, is presented to the public.the shares held by the Republic of Austria are transfered to ÖIAG (Österreichische Industrieholding AG). 1999 The foundations are laid for Vienna International Airport s fourth multi-storey car park. 2000 Opening of Car Park 4; change in ownership structure. The shareholders are: province of Lower Austria 20%, city of Vienna 20%, private staff participation foundation 10%, others 50% 2001 Construction and opening of office building Objekt 645; change in ownership structure completed with final repurchase of shares. 2002 The subsidiary City Air Terminal Betriebsges.m.b.H. is set up to operate the new express rail link from Vienna city centre to the airport. 2

2003 Sod-turning ceremony for the new air control tower and the Office Park 2003 The first City Airport Train leaves the City Air Terminal at the Hotel Hilton for its maiden trip to Vienna International Airport 2003 The Malta Mediterranean Link consortium, in which Flughafen Wien AG is the majority shareholder, acquires 40 per cent of the shares of "Malta International Airport. 2004 Seven new bus gates go into operation in the East Pier to cope with the constantly growing volume of passengers. 2005 Three further storeys are added to Car Park 3, creating 760 new parking spaces. 2005 The new air control tower is inaugurated in October. At 109 metres it is one of the highest ATC towers in Europe and a new landmark at Vienna International Airport. 2006 Opening of the Air Cargo Centre and Handling Centre West 2006 January sees the laying of the foundations for the Skylink Terminal Extension. 2006 The consortium Two One (consisting of Flughafen Wien AG, Raiffeisen Zentralbank and the Slovak private equit group Penta) wins the bidding for a 66 per cent share in Kosice airport. 2007 Office Park II, the new headquarters of Austrian Airlines is completed and handed over to its occupants. 2007 Purchase of World Trade Center. Following conversion, the 18,000 m² office building will be renamed Office Park III. 2007 New information centre VISITAIR Centre opens in Office Park I. 2007 Addition of 2,250 parking slots in Car Park 4 started in summer. The airport also acquires all shares in Mazur Parkplatz GmbH, increasing the parking capacity of the Flughafen Wien group by around 5,000 vehicles. 3

Ownership Shareholder structure: the province of Lower Austria and the city of Vienna each hold 20% of share capital and thereby provide a stable ownership structure. A further 10% of the Company s share capital was transferred to an employee fund in 2000, and allows the employees of Flughafen Wien AG to participate directly in the success of the Company. The remaining 50% of shares represent free float. The airport today Flughafen Wien AG is one of the few listed airport operators in Europe. As the developer, builder and operator of Vienna International Airport, it provides a full range of related services. Supported by an excellent geographical location in the heart of Europe, Vienna International Airport has positioned itself as one of the most important hubs for connections to the rapidly developing regions of Central and Eastern Europe. Airport cooperations-alliances Organization Date of the Description agreement Kosice Airport 2006 In 2006 66% of the shares in Kosice Airport were transferred to the TwoOne Consortium, in which Flughafen Wien AG holds 50.1% of the voting rights. Kosice Airport reported an increase of 29% in the number of passengers to 443,448 for the reporting year. Malta Airport 2003, 2006 Flughafen Wien AG owns 40% of the shares in Malta Airport through a consortium (2003) and also holds a direct investment of slightly more than 10% (2006). Flughafen 2007 In 2007 Flughafen Wien AG acquired a Friedrichshafen 25.15% stake in Flughafen GmbH Friedrichshafen GmbH through a capital increase, at a cost of 7.7 million. This transaction made Flughafen Wien AG the largest individual shareholder of the fourth ranked regional airport in Germany. Public authorities continue to hold the absolute majority of shares in the company: the district of Bodenseekreis and city of Friedrichshafen each hold a stake of 14.38%, the province of Baden- Württemberg 12.44% and Technische Werke Friedrichshafen GmbH 8.92%. Other activities The cornerstone of the development programme at Vienna International Airport is formed by the terminal extension Skylink. The construction of the Skylink is designed specifically to assist transfer passengers. VIE currently has the shortest minimum connecting time in Europe and it intends to maintain this thanks to its innovative three-storey terminal concept. The opening of these facilities is scheduled for June 2009. Future plans The environmental impact assessment for parallel runway 11R/29 L, the third runway at Vienna International Airport, began in March 2007. A decision on the start of construction will only take place if and when the project is approved by the authorities. The Management Board profile Member of the Board: Christian Domany Born 1952, began his career at Creditanstalt Bankverein after completing is studies in business dministration. In 1984 he joined the Austrian ndustrialist association, where he served as head of the personnel, finance and organisation section as well as deputy general secretary. After his appointment as general secretary of the Austrian savings bank association in 1997, he became general secretary of the Austrian federal economic chamber three years later. On 1 October 2004 he was appointed to the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG where he is responsible for property and centre management as well as personnel, finance and accounting, and the planning and construction service units. 7

Member and Speaker of the Board: Herbert Kaufmann Born 1949, worked as an engineer with various Austrian and foreign companies while studying macroeconomics. In 1975 he joined the chamber of labour of the Province of Lower Austria, where after two years he was appointed head of the economics department and was made director in 1985. He also served as a member of the Lower Austrian and Austrian parliaments. He was appointed member and speaker of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG in 1999 where he is responsible for airline and terminal services, the secretariat, communications and investor relations and strategy and controlling. Member of the Board: Gerhard Schmid Born 1957, started his career as an engineer with Böhler AG (Seibersdorf Research Centre). In 1979 he joined Municipal Department 46 of the City of Vienna, which is responsible for the technical aspects of traffic planning. He was appointed manager of the office of Mayor Helmut Zilk in 1987. In 1993 he joined the auditing department of Vienna International Airport, where he became manager in 1995. Schmid was appointed head of technical services in 1997, and two years later advanced to become a member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG. His responsibilities include handling and airside services, information systems, technical services, quality management, environmental controlling and internal audit. CEO statement << For 2008 we expect continued growth in traffic, with an increase of 8.0% in the number of passengers, 6.0% in maximum take-off weight and 6.0% in flight movements. Our forecasts for the period from 2009 to 2015 are based on expected growth of 5 to 6% per year in the number of passengers. The expansion programme will continue during 2008, with construction on the extension of the existing terminal VIE-Skylink again forming the focal point of activities. >> 8
