Up, Up and Away Safely The new Dittel Mode S Transponder KTX2 from TQ-Avionics

KTX2 TQ-Group

Better safe than sorry with the innovative KTX2 TQ-Group KTX2 The newly developed KTX2 is a superlight, compact, mode S transponder with low power consumption and a high-grade TFT color display. As a Class 1 transponder with an operating range of up to 35,000 ft. and 250 kn, it is not only ideal for just gliders, ultralights and balloons, but also for a large number of GA aircraft up to 5.67 metric tons MTOW (VFR and IFR). The KTX2 provides maximum possible safety, since in addition to the Squawk, also the flight level and an unambiguous 24-bit-identification which is allocated to the particular aircraft is transmitted. Furthermore the air traffic control is able to send requests to particular transponders. With this, the KTX2 makes a remarkable contribute to flight safety. The advantages at a glance Extremely low weight of only 360 grams ideal for gliders and ultralights Very compact dimensions for easy and flexible installation Minimum power consumption perfect for battery operation in gliders and balloons Large, high-contrast, long-life TFT color display for maximum readability even in direct sunlight Intuitive operation developed by pilots for pilots Excellent price/performance ratio Made in Germany 1

KTX2 TQ-Group Simple, flexible installation The KTX2 is available in three versions. In addition to the standard version for installation in a 57 mm round cut out, the KTX2 is also available in a Mini version with either a landscape or portrait housing format. Thanks to a housing length of only 147 mm, the transponder can be easily installed even in cockpits with difficult space conditions. For mobile use, for example, during balloon flights, the KTX2 is also available as a portable station ideally in combination with the KRT2 radio transceiver. Dimensions: Standard: 146.5 x 63.5 x 62 mm, Ø57 mm diameter cut out Mini Landscape: 147 x 62 x 46 mm Mini Portrait: 147 x 46 x 62 mm 2 Standard Mini Landscape (projected) Mini Portrait (projected)

TQ-Group KTX2 Equipment designed for the present and the future KTX2 Technology at its finest: Built-in, high-precision, temperature-compensated altitude encoder for connection to the static port RS232 interface, prepared for connecting a suitable GPS receiver for the future output of position data (extended squitter) for ADS-B (after ETSO-C166 approval (V2.0)) Firmware upgrade option 3
