ITINERARY DAY 1: USA SPAIN (Friday) Fly overnight to Barcelona, Spain. DAY 2: BARCELONA (Saturday) Bienvenidos a España! Your Forum Tour Manager will greet you at the airport and help you transfer by private motorcoach to your partner school, Escola Pia de Sitges, 45 min. outside the Catalonian capital. Upon arrival, meet your exchange partners and host families. Start your exchange program. While living with a host family, you will discover that Spanish is more than just a textbook language as you fully immerse into the daily life of your family and school community. You will attend school with your exchange partner, apply your language skills in real-life situations, and experience life as a true local! DAY 3: SUNDAY WITH HOST FAMILY (Sunday) Spend the day getting to know your exchange partner and host family. DAY 4: EXCHANGE PROGRAM (Monday) After breakfast, attend school with your exchange partner. Afternoon activities and workshops may be organized at the school during your visit (to be confirmed with your partner school). Enjoy the afternoon with your exchange partner and host family. Enjoy dinner with your group in the city. Night accommodation with your host family. DAY 5: BARCELONA (Tuesday) After breakfast, meet your Forum Tour Manager and discover the city s main food market: the glorious Mercat Sant Josep, known locally as the Boquería. After a look around the market, test your culinary skills in a cooking workshop and learn how to prepare some local specialties. Be careful in how you prepare them as this will also be your lunch! After, take a stroll along Las Ramblas, the primary downtown boulevard lined with shops and cafes. In the afternoon, continue with a visit to Estadio del Camp Nou, home of the FC Barcelona soccer team! Return to your host family for dinner and night accommodation. DAY 6: EXCHANGE PROGRAM (Wednesday) After breakfast, attend school with your exchange partner. Afternoon activities and workshops may be organized at the school during your visit (to be confirmed with your partner school). Enjoy the afternoon with your exchange partner and host family. Dinner and evening with your host family.
ITINERARY DAY 7: BARCELONA (Thursday) After breakfast, meet your Forum Tour Manager and take a guided tour of the astonishing Sagrada Familia, designed by Gaudí and under construction since 1883! Afterward, enjoy a picnic lunch (not included) at Parc Güell Gaudí s garden city a town unto itself with a view of the Mediterranean Sea. Return to your host family for dinner and night accommodation. DAY 8: BARCELONA (Friday) After breakfast, meet your Forum Tour Manager and visit El Pueblo Español, an open-air museum that provides a virtual tour around Spain with re-creations of typical architecture from every region of the country. You can also watch traditional artisans at work in their workshops. The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish; catch up on some lastminute souvenir shopping or enjoy some sun at Barcelona s most famous, the Barceloneta. Enjoy dinner with your group in the city. Return to your host family for night accommodation. DAY 9: DAY TRIP TO FIGUERES GIRONA (Saturday) After breakfast with your host family, board your private motorcoach to Figueres, Salvdor Dalí s birthplace. Enter the extraordinary Dalí Museum. Inaugurated in 1974, the Dalí Theatre-Museum contains the broadest range of artwork spanning the surrealist s life. Enjoy free time for lunch before continuing to the ancient walled city of Girona, located on a fortress-like hill, high above the Onyar River. Explore the beautiful medieval city with your Forum Tour Manager. Return to your host family for night accommodation. DAY 10: SUNDAY WITH HOST FAMILY (Sunday) Spend the day getting to know your exchange partner and host family. As students fully immerse into the life of their host family and school, they ll experience a type of personal growth and empowerment that can only happen in this unique setting. Students not only travel but host their exchange partners resulting in a lifelong bond between both students and families. HOSTING A VISITING STUDENT Your primary responsibility as a host family is to create a welcoming and safe environment for your visiting student. We encourage you to get to know your student and spend time with her/him both inside and outside the home. Visiting students look forward to learning about American culture and customs and practicing their English in daily life. Prior to hosting, you will receive a profile form with information about your student. SCHOOL EXCHANGE AGREEMENT Your exchange is organized directly between your school and the partner school. Schools are responsible for the exchange program portion of the itinerary and for selecting and organizing host families. Forum is responsible for flight bookings, optional excursions not organized by the schools, insurance and trip payments. In regards to the exchange partnership, Forum only serves to match the partner schools and advise the schools as they organize their program together. Forum cannot be held responsible for the components organized directly by the schools. Schools should agree beforehand what hosting arrangements will be made if the final number of students participating in the exchange differs between schools (e.g. additional host families are recruited, the number of students traveling is reduced to match the partner school). Forum cannot guarantee that schools will have the same number of participants traveling and, therefore, cannot be held responsible if the number of traveling students differs between schools.

ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS Enrolling for this trip is as easy as going to https://enrollment.forumlanguageexperience.com/exchange/pennsbury-hs-2/ The enrollment process will take you about 10-15 minutes. During, you will be asked to provide contact information, a valid passport number, and method of payment. If you do not have a passport yet, don t worry you will still be able to enroll. However, we advise you to apply for your passport as soon you finish enrolling for your trip. Forum Language Experience has purchased the Student Protection Plan from Travel Insured International on behalf of all participants. If you would like to purchase the optional Cancel For Any Reason benefit, you must choose it at the time of enrollment, and the additional fee MUST be included with your first trip deposit. The total cost for this upgrade is $25.50. After you have enrolled and your payment has been made, you will receive an email with a username and password to access your Traveler web account. Here, you will be able to make future payments, modify your personal information, and access documents related to your trip. As a reminder, the enrollment deadline for this trip is June 16 th.
