A snack lunch will be provided on arrival. Formed by the merger of Sumolis and Compal in 2009, Sumol+Compal combines two of the best known brand portfolios in Portugal including Sumol, the leading brand in the fruit flavour segment, and Compal, the leading brand in juices and nectars. The company s portfolio also includes Pepsi, 7UP, Guaraná Antarctica, Um Bongo, B!, Frize and Serra da Estrela still water. The company employs 1,220 people and produces 500 million litres of beverages each year. The Almeirim site is one of the company s main production facilities - filling juices, nectars and non-carbonated soft drinks as well as canned vegetables, tomato derivatives, tomato concentrate and fruit pulps. The plant was fully renovated by 2003, following an investment of 43 million. Its 40,000m 2 buildings house 18 production lines with an output of 250,000 tonnes a year.
