Day/02: Cairo Breakfast at hotel.8: 30 A.M. You will meet with your guide at the lobby to tour some of Egypt's most ancient sites: the ruins of Memphis at the edge of the western desert, Egypt s first Capital until the end of the Kingdom and one of the most important cities throughout the history of Ancient Egypt. Close to Memphis, we drive to Sakkara, the City of the dead with the famous step Pyramid of Djosser. Continue your tour the Pyramids of Giza, The Great Pyramid Cheops (Khufu s), is the largest one of the three and one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, was built In the 4th dynasty about 2690 B.C. In front of the Pyramid of Chephren, there stand 1 / 6

the alabaster Sphinx, which was discovered in 1912, carved from a single piece of stone. It is a lion with a Pharaoh s head thought to be a portrait of the Pharaoh Chephren. Return back to your hotel for overnight.(b) Day/03: Siwa Oasis Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Siwa over the Masrab al-istabl road, used by Alexander the Great. Siwa is a unique oasis, it is not Egyptian but rather North African and the Berbers are the indigenous people of the oasis. Siwa means white mountain referring to the largest expanse of sand in the world. Upon arrival at Siwa you will be transferred to your hotel for check in and overnight.(b,l,d) Day/04: Bahariya Oasis Breakfast at hotel. This morning, you begin your tour at the site of the Temple of the Oracle in the town of Aghurmi. It is believed that Alexander the Great wished to consult the Siwan Oracle to seek confirmation that he was the son of Zeus, the Greek god of gods. Alexander was pronounced a god. After his visit to the Oracle, Alexander was shown with the horns of the ram, the symbol of Amun, the god of gods in Egypt. This temple was an important part of the rituals related to the Oracle and the god. You continue on to the Spring of the Sun, or Cleopatra s Bath; Today, visitors enjoy the spring s bubbling waters in addition to the history and events that have taken place around it. In the afternoon you continue on to visit the tombs of Gebel Mawta. Then drive into the Western Desert, known as the Libyan Desert, crossing the rough desert track through Bahrain Oasis and arriving in Bahariya Oasis. Overnight at hotel.(b,l,d) Day/05: Bahariya Oasis Breakfast at hotel. Start your tour in Bahariya visiting the following : Azmeer Temple, Banayouti Tombs, Pharaonic Tombs (in a good shape coloured), among the scant remains of the Greaco-roman period it is worth visiting the small Temple of Alexander the Great, at Qasr El-Migysbah, apparently the only place were his cartouche and image were found in Egypt. Lunch during tour. Visit the Museum of Bahariya, which contains 4 mummies from the new rediscovered Valley of the Golden Mummies, which have hundreds of mummies beautifully decorated already excavated and they are believed to be perhaps 10,000 in all including nobles and kings. The cemetery dates to the Greco-Roman era. Some of the mummies found so far wore golden masks and have magnificent designs of ancient Egyptian gods on their chests Others we coated in plaster in plaster or overed with linen and some lay in terrecotta sarcophagi bearing representations of human head. Visit the medieval Citadel of Salah El- Din, which contains many structures, the most impressive of which is the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali,It was designed in the early 19th Century by a Greek Architect from Turkey. At the end of your tour visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar, which is the main tourist bazaar located in narrow passageways, lanes and alleys lined with tiny shops, stacked floor-to-ceiling with koftans, brass, inlaid wood, leather cases,copper, goods, carpets, gold and silver jewelry and perfumes.this pedestrian medieval zone is a shopper s Mecca. Then meeting with your tour manager to transfer you to Cairo Station for your Sleeper Train to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board train.(b,d) Day/08: Aswan Breakfast on board train, Upon arrival at Aswan Station you will meet with our local tour manager to transfer you to your hotel for check in and freshen up. Later meeting with your tour manager at the lobby to start your tour visiting the Philae Temple, the High Dam, and the Granite Quarries. Return back to your hotel for overnight.(b) Day/09: Abu Simbel Breakfast at hotel. Meeting with your tour manager and driver to transfer you to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival at Abu Simbel you will be transferred to visit the Great Temple of Ramses the 2nd one of the greatest and most whimsical kings of Egypt the temple is dedicated in theory to the gods Amon-Ra, Harmakis and Ptah, the temple was carved in and stone rock cliff with the four colossal seated statues of the King in front of the entrance, each statue is 20 meters high and measures 4 meters from ear to ear, taking a closer look you will realize that each statue present the king Ramses in different ages of his life starting from youth age till he became a mature King, the temple wall decorations celebrate the military grandeur of the king, continue your tour visit the temple of Nefertari the King's beloved wife. Both temples were threatened by the increasing level of the Nile upon the completion of the Aswan High Dam and have been preserved in the 60 s by international action organized by UNESCO. All parts of the temple have been moved and rebuilt on a plateau above the former site, the temple is considered a miracle of the ancient and modern history Return to Abu-Simbel a hewn in rock with the four colossal seated statues of the king in front of the entrance. It was dedicated to Amun-Ra, the Horrakhti and Ramses II. After visiting the Temple you will be transferred back to Aswan to your Deluxe Nile Cruise ship embarkation. Lunch on board.
