Passports Passports will be kept safe in school from now until our departure. According to the French Embassy and the UK Foreign Office, the only priority for passports and/or I.D. Cards is that they must be in date. You don t need six months on your passport for entry into France; however, for other countries this can differ. (Check first). Whilst in Cologne, passports will be kept in a safe at the hotel.
I am in the process of creating a booklet with useful words and phrases to help you with your German. The purpose of our trip is to immerse ourselves into the German way of life for a few days and practise our German.

Important Information Clothes warm clothes are recommended. It is very cold out there in December. Boots or solid shoes are also recommended in case of snow. Make sure you have a warm coat, scarf and gloves in case of really cold weather. Electronic Equipment for the journey, I m sure you will want your ipad, ipod, or tablet. There will be a safe in your hotel room, so if you decide to bring them they ll be your responsibility. Towels it is recommended you bring a towel for the duration of your stay at the hotel. Bedding, however, will be provided. Medication all medication (unless discussed otherwise) must be given to your group leader before we leave on the 11 th of December.
Money I am happy with two options here. You can keep your money safe, and you can be in charge of it. OR You can give the money to your group leader. They will give money out each day, so that you can budget your money well. Remember you will need Euros!! Remember, all meals at the hotel are provided. A token for a free meal will be provided for Phantasialand. You will only need money for food at the markets, items at the Lindt Chocolate Factory and gifts or things you d like to buy. I would recommend 100-120 that would be around 140-169euros (9/11/15).
