The Polish Wind Energy Association Conference is the largest wind power industry event in Poland. The annual PWEA Conference is not only a chance to participate in thematic sessions, discussion panels and thematic workshops dedicated to wind energy, but also a unique opportunity to establish valuable business contacts. In 2014 the Conference was attended by almost 700 participants! The programme and subject meet the needs of companies related to the wind energy sector. Developers, investors and producers may meet to gain knowledge, exchange experiences and develop common position and to confront their expectations and needs with representatives of state institutions responsible for the development of the green energy market. Each year the Conference hosts officials from key ministries, operators and industry associations. Since 2011 the Conference is accompanied by a trade fair, with 45 exhibitors from all of Europe in 2014. This year's Conference and Exhibition will take place on 14-15 April at Narvil Hotel and Conference Centre in Serock, 40 km from Warsaw. 2015 is a crucial year for the future development of wind power in Poland, due to the expected adoption of the RES Act, fundamentally changing the support scheme for renewables by introducing the auction system from 2016, leading to increased pressure on the efficiency of new wind projects, including O&M costs.
