TIMELINE - TUESDAY FEBRUARY 27 All instruments and equipment are packed and shipped to Florida via truck. Students should pack all needed accessories (reeds, valve oil, mutes, extra strings, etc.) with their instrument, NOT their luggage All instruments must be at the school no later than end of day on the 27th!

TIMELINE - WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 28 Students are allowed one checked bag and one carry on bag. Checked bags are brought to LM during the day Wednesday. Checked bag may not be more than 50 lbs. If it is heavier, students may be charged a fee by the airline. Carry on bags are brought by students when they arrive Thursday morning. Please note that this carry on will be with you until you arrive at the hotel on Thursday evening. We recommend that your carry on be no larger than a backpack, and have only what you need for the day.

TIMELINE - WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 28 Students bring checked luggage to school. MUST INCLUDE CONCERT DRESS - we will be checking for this. Luggage will be staged here in the auditorium, and will be locked up until we leave Thursday morning.

TIMELINE - WEDNESDAY WHAT TO PACK: FEBRUARY 28 CONCERT DRESS IN YOUR CHECKED BAG Comfortable clothing (especially comfortable shoes!) Light jacket and at least one pair of long pants (average low in Orlando is 54 degrees this time of year) Rain gear (e.g. lightweight disposable poncho from the dollar store) Swimsuit (heated outdoor pools at the hotel) Cell phone charger Snacks for the plane

TIMELINE - WEDNESDAY WHAT NOT TO PACK: FEBRUARY 28 Expensive items (jewelry, electronics) This INCLUDES school issued laptops Anything deemed irreplaceable Heavy winter coat Liquids in your carry-on (if you must, make sure to have a one-quart plastic bag, no bottle of liquid greater than 3 oz.) Hair dryer (they have them in rooms) Phone charger battery banks in your checked bags

TIMELINE - THURSDAY MARCH 1 Students arrive at LMHS at 2:45 am (this is not a typo) Parents should drop off students near the bus loop (please do not park IN the bus loop). The building will be open so that students can come directly inside - no waiting out in the cold for buses. Students report to the auditorium to collect their luggage and wait to be dismissed to their bus.

TIMELINE - THURSDAY MARCH 1 All check-ins for duration of the trip are with your chaperone - check the lists in the packet for chaperone and bus information. ALL STUDENTS MUST RIDE THE BUS TO THE AIRPORT. PARENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BRING STUDENTS TO THE AIRPORT.

TIMELINE - THURSDAY MARCH 1 Board bus with checked bag, carry-on bag and valid photo I.D. No one will be issued a boarding pass at the airport without I.D. Anyone 18+ must have a government issued I.D. Under 18 - I.D. can be LMHS Student I.D., driver s license, or passport. Chaperones will be checking for I.D. BEFORE students board buses Upon arrival at Airport, students will check-in, check their luggage, and proceed through security. There will be an opportunity for students to purchase breakfast in the terminal.

FLIGHT INFORMATION PHILADELPHIA TO ORLANDO (March 1) 6:00 am - FRONTIER flight #1671 departs PHL 8:39 am - FRONTIER flight #1671 arrives MCO ORLANDO TO PHILADELPHIA (March 5) 7:23 pm - FRONTIER flight #1674 departs MCO 9:59 pm - FRONTIER flight #1674 arrives PHL

TIMELINE - THURSDAY MARCH 1 Upon arrival in Orlando, we will proceed to chartered buses and move to the Disney Ticket and Transportation Center. Checked bags will be taken from airport directly to the hotel by Disney staff. Students will not see these until Thursday night.

TIMELINE - THURSDAY MARCH 1 All students are issued a single Disney park ticket for the duration of the trip. Park tickets are numbered. Should a student lose their ticket, it can be replaced (chaperones can help facilitate this.) Disney Park tickets are only good for admission to one park per day (they are not park hopper passes.)

TIMELINE - THURSDAY MARCH 1 Meal Vouchers will be issued for dinner each day. Good for an entire combo meal at many of the walk-up fast food style restaurants in each of the parks (a full list of restaurants is listed on the back of each voucher.) These carry no monetary value. Cannot be replaced if lost!

TIMELINE - THURSDAY MARCH 1 Upon arriving at the Ticket and Transportation Center, students will board the Monorail to Magic Kingdom. Spend the full day in Magic Kingdom. After the fireworks show, students will board Disney buses to the hotel (approximately 10 p.m.) It is VERY important that students leave Magic Kingdom and head to the bus area. DO NOT GET ON THE MONORAIL! IT WILL NOT TAKE YOU TO OUR HOTEL! Get on the bus designated for Disney All Star Sports

TIMELINE - THURSDAY MARCH 1 Upon arrival at Hotel, students will meet their chaperone by the main pool Once everyone in a room is present, keys will be distributed to students. Students will check into their rooms and do the following: Make sure that their checked luggage is accounted for Make sure that there is NOT an extra suitcase in their room. Curfew and room check are 11 p.m. NO ONE is permitted out of their room after curfew.

TIMELINE - FRIDAY 6:30 am - Wake up call MARCH 2 SOMEONE must answer the door 7:00 am - Breakfast at the hotel ($10 Disney Dining Card) 8:00 am - students check in with chaperone; private charter transfer to Universal Studios Universal Meal Coupon and Park Ticket provided to all students 8:30 pm - Private charter bus transfer from Universal Studios to Hotel 11:00 pm - Curfew and room checks

MEAL INFORMATION: BREAKFAST For breakfast, students are issued a debit card There is $10 credit on the card. A new card will be issued each day. Cards are not replaceable if lost. If the full value of the card is not used during breakfast, it can be used later for snacks, etc. Cards cannot be used for non-food items.

TIMELINE - SATURDAY MARCH 3 PERFORMANCE DAY! This is where things get a bit more complicated Band / Orchestra (aka Bandestra) will operate on one schedule, and Concert Choir on another. It looks something like this:

BANDESTRA SCHEDULE: 7:00 am - Wake up Calls 9:00 am - Charter transfer to Disney Springs must be dressed in performance clothing Must unload instrument from truck and transfer to bus 11:00 am - performance at Disney Springs 11:30 am - charter transfer to hotel 12:00 pm - return to hotel and change into casual clothes 1:00 pm - Charter bus transfer to Disney Hollywood Studios

CHOIR SCHEDULE: 7:00 am - Wake up Calls 11:30 am - Charter transfer to Disney Springs must be dressed in performance clothing 1:30 pm - performance at Disney Springs 2:00 pm - charter transfer to hotel 2:30 pm - return to hotel and change into casual clothes 3:30 pm - Charter bus transfer to Disney Hollywood Studios

TIMELINE - SATURDAY Disney Hollywood Studios MARCH 3 7:00 Fantasmic Night Time Show (weather permitting) 8:00 Star Wars a Galactical Spectacular 8:35 Disney buses to All Star Sports Check in with Chaperones All students from the room must be present before room keys are distributed Curfew and room checks at 11:00 pm

TIMELINE - SUNDAY MARCH 4 CLINIC DAY A day somewhat more convoluted than the performance day Let s start with the easy one:

TIMELINE - SUNDAY MARCH 4 CHOIR: 7:00 am - Wake up call (breakfast card/dinner voucher provided) 7:30 am - Breakfast at hotel 8:30 am - Disney Shuttle transfer to Epcot 1:00 pm - Meet at Circle of Life Theater for clinic 1:30-4:00 pm - Workshop on site at Epcot 9:00 pm - IllumiNations light show 9:45 pm - Disney shuttle to hotel 11:00 pm - Curfew and room checks

BANDESTRA: TIMELINE - SUNDAY MARCH 4 7:00 am - Wake up call (breakfast card/dinner voucher provided) 7:30 am - Breakfast at hotel 8:30 am - Disney Shuttle transfer to Epcot 5:00 pm - Meet at Epcot parking lot for charter bus transfer to clinic site 6:00-8:30 pm - Workshop 8:30 pm - charter bus transfer return to hotel 11:00 pm - Curfew and room checks

TIMELINE - MONDAY MARCH 5 6:30 a.m. wake up call Breakfast debit card issued ($10.00) Meal Voucher issued for Dinner. Students bring their checked bags (no carry-ons) to a truck in the parking lot of the hotel By 7:45 a.m., students will have had their rooms checked for damages and anything left behind. Depart for Animal Kingdom with carry-on bag on WDW buses.

TIMELINE - MONDAY MARCH 5 Students will spend the day at Disney s Animal Kingdom At 4:00 p.m., students will exit the park and meet with their chaperone. Board chartered buses to the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, students will collect their checked bags. Students will check in at the airport (I.D., check bags, security, etc.) Opportunity to purchase a meal in the terminal at the airport.

TIMELINE - MONDAY MARCH 5 Frontier flight #1674 departs Orlando at 7:23 pm Arrival in Philadelphia approximately 9:59 pm Upon arrival at PHL, students will claim their checked bags. Board school buses for return to LMHS (return to bus loop approx 11:30 pm) ABSOLUTELY NO ONE IS TO BE PICKED UP AT THE AIRPORT BY THEIR PARENTS.

Miscellaneous Information In case of emergency in each park, report to First Aid Station. First Aid will have contact information for chaperones. There is a Lost and Found in each park. Suggested spending money: $100 (students mostly spend their own money on lunch, souvenirs, and snacks.)

Miscellaneous Information Emergency notifications prior to trip: In event of inclement weather, latest information will be posted on LMHSMUSIC.ORG, Twitter (@LMHSmusic), and REMIND service.

Medication Information Disney trip is being treated same as a regular school field trip, and following same procedures as school day A Doctor s note is needed for all medications except Tylenol and Ibuprofen. This includes all other OTC medications. The medications must be delivered to the school in its original packaging OR in a prescription bottle labeled from the pharmacy. Doctor s note can be faxed to the Nurse s office: 610-658-8719

Code of Conduct Students are expected to follow the same rules and regulations at Walt Disney World as they would in school. Any discipline issues will be dealt with on an individual basis. There is a zero tolerance policy for smoking, drinking or drug use.
