Official 1 st of January 2011 2011 - slow motion Czech Republic and Poland are out of the scope of the SEE Program - special agreements took a year to be signed with JTS Contract finally signed in December 2011 Serbia in February closed a separate contract with the EU Commission on 38 months Ukraine the initial partner disappeared - this week probably the procedures for the new one will be finalized with JTS Budapest

WP 4 - Integrated management of Carpathian natural assets and PAs WWF DCP Objectives: Identification of regional development opportunities for PAs Development of integrated and harmonized management of Pas Main outputs: Development of Common Integrated Management Measures (CIMM) Study on financial mechanisms and economic tools for PAs First partner meeting - Vienna November 2011 Consensus on the content and activities has been reached WWF is preparing TORs for the needed experts Link with the GEF Project in Romania on PAs financing

WP 5 - Continuity and connectivity Eurac research First meeting was held on 21 st -22 nd February 2012, in Banska Bystrica, in conjunction wit WP 3 Eurac prepared a list of selected umbrella species and questionnaires on the physical barriers in order to collect the available data In April probably a meeting with ky partners of Econnect (Alps) in order to share gained experience

WP 6 - Pilot projects Duna Ipoly NP First meeting May 2012 in Hungary Duna Ipoly proposed the development of an integrated management plan for Poiplie(SK)/Duna-Ipoly(HU) in particular for the forest areas Transboundary Ramsar Site and Biosphere Reserve in Iron Gates(RO)/Djerdap(SRB) Transboundary Biosphere Reserve in Maramures Mts.(RO) Carpatsky BR (UA) Cooperation with WP4 on developing and applying common management measures in pilot sites

Intergovernmental platform and stakeholders involvement Objectives: Stakeholders involvement Intergovernmental platform ensuring follow up of project results COP 3 side event Today s meeting CNPA future support Discussion on CNPA 2 nd conference in 2013 need more financial support
