As head of sector she participates in the development of measures to improve quality of life and environmental protection; and in the monitoring of environmental impacts on human health and interdepartmental activities in the field of health and environment. Her work also involves harmonising plans with measures and deadlines for the gradual reduction of emissions and pollution and compliance with best available technologies; and she contributes to scoring studies for

environmental impact assessments and examining potential physical and chemical harm. Ms. Mujaković is a member of the committee for the creation of the Draft Spatial Plan for Areas of Special Interest for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina; the committee for the development of the Master Plan for the Historical Town of Blagaj; the Steering Committee for the Natura 2000 project and the Biodiversity Working Group; the international coordination group for the nomination of the Dinaric Karst to the list of World Heritage sites; the GEF-funded project Forest and Mountain Protected Areas; the UNEP working group for the development of the State of the Environment report; and the working group for the revision of the National Biodiversity Strategy and the Fifth National Report to the UN Convention on Biodiversity. Through the work of the department, and within the scope of the sector, Ms. Cigelj is responsible for preparing legislation and regulations as well as documents, analyses and information related to forestry and hunting. She helps to monitor the status of the sector and contributes to the resolution of issues. She provides expert opinions, interpretations and guidelines and contributes to international cooperation and to the monitoring of the implementation of agreements, conventions and projects. She also participates in the drafting of budget proposals for the ministry. She contributes to monitoring the operations and activities of cantonal ministries in charge of forestry and hunting; and to monitoring the operations of forest management enterprises. She is also involved in monitoring and registering changes in forest areas. She is responsible for following up on developments and improvements in the field of hunting and for declaring special-purposes forests. Mrs. Suman has also extensive experience in environmental cooperation with neighbouring countries in the frame of trans-boundary cooperation projects, and within the country with all stakeholders representatives, but especially the local government and NGOs. She has been active also in NGO capacity building and public awareness raising projects, as well as environmental financing. She also has strong educational and knowledgetransfer skills, proven though training of NGOs in management of environmental projects from the financial and technical point of view.
