Group Travel Masters New England Fall Foliage September 29 - October 7, 2019 Day One Late morning or early afternoon arrival at Logan International Airport in Boston. Meet your local guide and board your deluxe motorcoach as we travel to Plymouth, MA. Visit the JFK Library and Museum where you can enjoy lunch on own along with exploration of this fabulous museum. We continue to Plymouth where we stop for a little exploration and pictures at the Plymouth Rock. We continue to West Yarmouth, MA where we check into our hotel for the next two evenings. Dinner is included at the resort of local restaurant. This evening relax and enjoy your evening. (D) Day Two Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel. We will travel historic Route 6A, the Old King's Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. View the Eastham Wildmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor's Center. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach "Land's End" - Provincetown. You are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants for lunch on your own, shops, and galleries that make this artist/fishermen village so unique. Board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of whale watching. You will travel into the natural habitat of a diver s marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed. Try to spot a Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales going about their daily business. An onboard naturalist will introduce you to everything you see and will answer many of your questions about the whales, birds, fish and lighthouses. A wonderful dinner is served before returning to the resort. (B,D)
Day Three After breakfast, we board the coach and say good-bye to Cape Cod. This morning we travel to the Yankee Candle Factory where you will have time for shopping and lunch on your own at their cafes. We continue north to the Green Mountains of Vermont. Our next stop today is the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham for a little shopping. We continue to our Vermont hotel where we will spend the next two evenings. Dinner is included this evening at our hotel. Relax and enjoy the amenities of the hotel. (B,D) Day Four Following breakfast, we board the coach for a trip to Montpelier (Vermont s State Capital) where we visit the Morse Sugar Farm for a talk on sugaring followed by a traditional sugar-on-snow. Next you can enjoy lunch and shopping on your own in Montpelier. Next we travel to the Ben & Jerry s Ice Cream Factory for a guided tour concluded with a tasting of their delicious ice cream. A wonderful dinner is included this evening. (B,D)
Day Five After breakfast, we board the coach for our journey to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Our first stop takes us to Quechee Gorge (Vermont s Little Grand Canyon) for pictures before entering New Hampshire. We visit the Cannon Mountain Tram for a scenic journey to the 4200 summit. Lunch on your own at the summit of Cannon Mountain. Next we visit the Flume Gorge Visitor Center and conclude our day with a visit to Clark s Trading Post for a little shopping. We check into our New Hampshire hotel for the evening. Dinner is included this evening at the resort of a local restaurant. (B,D) Day Six Breakfast is included this morning. We board the coach for a scenic drive across the Kancamagus Highway, known as one of the Top 50 drives in North America. Enjoy a quick stop for pictures before continuing to Freeport, ME (Home of LL Bean). We arrive in Freeport in time for lunch and shopping on your own. Next we travel to the city of Portland where we will meet our local guide for a tour of the city which will include the Eastern Promenade, Commercial Street, the Longfellow House and the Portland Headlight (Commissioned by George Washington). We check into our Saco area hotel for the next two evenings. Dinner is included this evening. (B,D)
Day Seven Following breakfast, we board the coach for a full day of coastal exploration. This morning we travel to Kennebunkport for a scenic ride along Ocean Drive where you will see Walker s Point (Summer Home of the Bush Family) before arriving at the Seashore Trolley Museum. This museum has one of the largest collection of electric trolley s in the US. Enjoy a scenic ride through coastal Maine on one of their antique trolleys. Enjoy lunch and shopping in Ogunquit and Perkins Cove. Next we visit the Nubble Lighthouse for pictures and conclude our day with a visit to Stonewall Kitchens, maker of delicious blueberry preserves and much more. A traditional Maine Lobster Dinner is included this evening at a select restaurant. (B, Lobster Dinner) Day Eight Breakfast is included this morning. Today we journey to Boston where we meet a city guide for a tour of the city to include the Boston Common, Freedom Trail, the Old State House, Cheer s Pub, and much more. Lunch and shopping on your own before traveling to the Logan Airport for your flight home.
