By combining your cruise in Norway with a visit to Spitsbergen, you'll also have the opportunity to do a variety of excursions (at an additional cost) that are not available on our regular Spitsbergen voyages.

April 2017 - March 2018 Departs From: Spitsbergen, Svalbard DAY 1 The top of the world Location: Spitsbergen Your adventure begins with an overnight stay in Longyearbyen, a former coalmining town that is a prime destination for adventure travellers. Reminders of the history and heritage of early coal miners can be seen everywhere.
DAYS 2-3 The adventure continues Location: Spitsbergen A number of optional excursions are available to enhance your experience in the high north. DAY 4 The Paris of the North Location: Spitsbergen - Tromsø
After breakfast, you'll fly from Longyearbyen to Tromsø, where you are free to explore this city until you board your ship. In the late evening you'll head south through prime Arctic fishing territory towards Lofoten. DAY 5 Stunning scenery Location: Lofoten and Vesterålen For many, the fjords and scenery of Vesterålen and Lofoten represent quintessential Norway, with its stunning network of inlets and islands. You will also pass through the narrow Raftsund strait which affords incredible views.
DAY 6 A date with the Seven Sisters Location: Arctic Circle, Seven Sisters Today you will leave the Arctic Circle passing the charming port of Sandnessjøen, and on the approach to Brønnøysund you can see the mythical Seven Sisters Mountain. DAY 7 Medieval buildings
Location: Trondheim In Trondheim, you will have the chance to visit the Gothic style Nidaros Cathedral, or wander around the historic town and the charming Bakklandet district. You'll then sail towards Kristiansund. DAY 8 The journey ends Location: Bergen You'll pass the rugged landscapes, cascading waterfalls and the fertile plains of Nordfjord and the Jostedalsbreen glacier. You disembark in Bergen, the city of the Seven Mountains where you can visit the UNESCO-listed Bryggen wharf and the famous fish market.
