VERSILIA2018 Here we are in Versilia, with the second round of the IAO cultural activity. With this course we want to bring a very current topic to the attention of participants: surgical and non-surgical alternatives at our disposal to obtain and perform implantprosthetic rehabilitation in cases of bone atrophy. This is an increasingly significant clinical picture given that, with the increase in average age, more and more often we have to deal with situations of this kind. Bone atrophy is therefore one of the most prominent areas of discussion given the number of methods, and reconstructive modalities at our disposal. When it is essential to intervene on bone components we have the possibility to act
through a defined process of guided bone regeneration, or through a defined process of reconstruction using bone grafts. Both modalities will be widely discussed and explored. In this meeting, we will also evaluate the alternatives that biotechnologies now make available: from bone surgery to the use of short and angled implants. The Refresher Course Modern and Innovative Therapeutic Guidelines in Bone Reconstruction Among the speakers for each scheduled slot, we recognize national and international speakers including Martin Chin and Stephen S. EVENT VENUES LA CAPANNINA Viale della Repubblica, 16 Forte dei Marmi La Capannina was established in 1929, from the idea of Achille Franceschi to clean up an old shed on the beach and equip it with a bar counter to serve drinks and pastries, a crank gramophone to enliven customer s days, and tables on which to play cards. Long-distance trains stop in Viareggio, from where you can easily reach Versilia by local trains, buses, or taxis. By plane: The nearest airport to the Versilia is Pisa s international airport Galileo Galilei, which is about 25 km from Versilia, and is easily accessible by bus or train.
SOCIAL DINNER La Capannina di Franceschi Viale della Repubblica 16, Forte dei Marmi Friday June 15 th 2018-09.15 PM During the 30s, it was fashionable to sit at a table at La Capannina at sunset, and sip a Negroni. Among the bystanders we could see nobles such as Della Gherardesca, Rucellai, Rospigliosi, and Sforza, poets and intellectuals such as Repaci, Ungaretti, Montale, Levi, and Pea. During the economic boom period, La Capannina became the meeting place of great industrialists, international politicians, movie stars, and royals.
