Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry /Suspect Information From: 11/08/2018 10:30pm To: 11/09/2018 3:50am 23000 Greenfield Rd. (Commercial- Food) Side entry door glass broken out. An employee arrived at business to find the side entry door glass broken out. Entry into the store was gained. Several cash registers were gone through & damaged. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. From: 11/11/2018 5:40am To: 11/11/2018 5:42am 20000 W Eight Mile Rd. (Commercial- Cosmetic) The front right display window was shattered. There was a white interior door that was kicked in to gain access into the store. Officers responded to location on a report of a B&E alarm. Upon arrival, they observed that the business had been broken into. Security video shows 2- B/M suspects. Both suspects were wearing dark clothing and white bandannas covering their faces. The scene was processed by Southfield Police Evidence Technicians and evidence was collected. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry /Suspect Information From: 11/10/2018 8:00pm To: 11/10/2018 10:59pm 28000 Selkirk St. Rear bedroom window was slid open. Residents when returning home noticed that their Granddaughter s bedroom door was closed. It s normally always open. When they entered the room, they noticed jewelry and cash were missing. The window to the bedroom had been tampered with and appears to be the point of entry. The residence was occupied when the suspect entered the window which is located at the rear of the home. No suspect description. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene and collected evidence. Note: Granddaughter suspects a subject that did the same thing at a previous residence that she lived at. He has been seen in the area recently. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

11/05/2018 12:48pm 22000 W Twelve Mile (Residential- Apartments) Victims keys were forcefully taken from her and used to enter apartment. Officers were dispatched to the 22000 Block of Twelve Mile Rd. on a report of Domestic Dispute. Officers met with the R/P who stated the suspect had left prior to Officers arrival. Victim states suspect had come to her home to collect money that was owed to him. Victim stepped outside her apartment, locked the door behind her, and gave suspect his money. Suspect then stated, "I know you've got a man in there" and took victims keys from her and made entry into her home. A brief struggle occurred over the keys and victim received minor abrasions to her hand which were photographed by Southfield Police Evidence Technician. No one else was present in her apartment and the suspect left. Nothing in the home was taken or damaged but he was not given permission to enter and he forced his way in. Victim was later contacted by Southfield Police Detectives. Victim decided she didn t want to prosecute.

11/08/2018 7:55am 27000 Aberdeen St. Used key pad to enter garage, forced entry into main residence. Victim states his ex-girlfriend showed up at his residence and entered his attached garage using the keypad. Suspect then forced entry into the main entrance. Suspect was upset that there was another female at the residence. The other female that was at the residence phoned 911 and reported that the suspect left in a White Ford Fusion. Officers located the suspect vehicle and stopped the vehicle. The suspect was identified and released. Victim didn t wish to prosecute. (Office Center Parking Structure) SR - Both Stolen and Recovered Manufacturer DODGE Model stratus Color PLE - Purple Vehicle Year 2003 Body Style State MI License Year 2019 2003 Dodge Stratus Recovered Date/Time 11/07/2018 8:29pm Location 22000 Block of Greenfield Rd. Victim states his 2003 Dodge Stratus was stolen between 3:30pm- 7:30pm. The vehicle was recovered at 8:29pm at 22255 Greenfield Rd. where another vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle had its ignition ripped out and there was damage to the vehicle. From: 11/05/2018 10:00pm To: 11/06/2018 7:30am 23000 Ranch Hill Dr. W S - Stolen Manufacturer JEEP Model RENEGADE Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2015 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State TEXAS License Year 2018 SILVER JEEP RENEGADE Victim states his vehicle was stolen out of his father's driveway sometime between Monday November 5, 2018 at 10:00pm and Tuesday November 6, 2018 7:30am. It is unknown how entry was gained into the vehicle. Vehicle was locked and the victim had the only set of keys. No suspect information.

11/05/2018 12:00am 28000 Everett St. SR - Both Stolen and Recovered Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model MALIBU Color RED - Red Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2019 Cream colored tape on driver side fender. Recovered Date/Time 11/06/2018 1:58pm The last time victim saw his vehicle was on 11/05/2018 at 12:00am. He parked the vehicle at his friend s house in the 28000 Block of Everett St. At that time, Southfield Police Officers came out to investigate. Victim refused to make a police report or to speak with Officers about the incident? Victim has since changed his mind. Victim states he left his vehicle unlocked with his key fob inside the vehicle. Also in the vehicle was a camouflage backpack containing an undisclosed amount of cash. Victim does not know who stole the vehicle and he also stated he doesn t wish to press charges??? On-Star located the vehicle in Eastpointe and the vehicle was recovered. No arrests.

11/07/2018 8:28pm 22000 Greenfield Rd. (Medical Building) S - Stolen Manufacturer CHRYSLER Model TOWN & COUNTRY Color GLD - Gold Vehicle Year 2003 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI Notes Superman "S" in the rear back window that says Pharmacy Technician Victim states sometime between 6:45pm- 8:15pm someone stole her 2003 Gold Chrysler Town & Country Mini Van. The vehicle was parked west of the entrance doors facing Foster Winter Dr. There was a Purple Dodge Stratus parked next to where victim s vehicle was. The vehicle was running and was reported stolen out of Southfield. Security Camera: The camera shows the Purple Dodge Stratus arrive in the parking lot at 7:19pm and a male exit wearing all black. The male walks to the Gold Chrysler Town & Country and leaves at 7:21pm. On 11/08/2018 Officer was working the front desk and was notified that the stolen Chrysler Town & Country had been recovered on the same day it was taken at 11:55pm in the City of Dearborn. There were no arrests.

11/09/2018 1:33pm 23000 Telegraph Rd. (Hotel) X - Impounded Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAVERSE Color RED - Red Vehicle Year 2009 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2019 2009 Chevy Traverse Officer observed vehicle pull into Hotel in the 23000 Block of Telegraph Rd. Prior to the vehicle turning into the Hotel Officer observed the plate to be somewhat obstructed but he was able to get the license plate number and ran it through LEIN. The vehicle came back stolen out of Detroit. Officer located the vehicle unoccupied parked at the Hotel. Attempts to locate the driver were negative. The vehicle was recovered and impounded. Victim states sometime between 6:00pm and the following day at 1:00pm someone stole victims 2012 Jeep Liberty from the parking lot at Apartment Complex in the 26000 Block of Carnegie Park Dr. No suspect information. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Victim called her phone and a male answered. Victim advised the male she was going to report incident to the police. The males then left the store. Two of the three males reentered the store and took two I- Phones from a display by the door. The suspects left the store and walked to a Gray or Silver Impala that fled N/B on Telegraph Rd. Suspects: Suspect #1 B/M only entered store one time. Most likely the driver of suspect vehicle. Suspect #2 B/M wearing a camo jacket and black ski mask. (Took phone) Suspect #3 B/M wearing a red jogging suit. (Took phone)

He assaulted her, took her house key, cash and then threw her cell phone on the floor damaging it. Victim was uncooperative and changed her story several times about whether she was assaulted. Victim didn t wish to prosecute. Suspect was identified and report was taken. From: 11/10/2018 6:40am To: 11/10/2018 6:47am 24000 Martha Washington S - Stolen Unknown Tools were taken from 2006 Ford P.U. Truck. Victims state they were awakened by a car speeding away around 6:40am. Victims went outside and discovered that victims 2006 Ford P.U. Truck had been broken into and numerous unknown tools were taken. No suspect or suspect vehicle information. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Several Attempt Auto Thefts- Lawrence Tech University CAMPUS SAFETY ALERT DATE ISSUED: 11/08/2018 LOCATION: LTU- Campus Wide-Parking Lots DETAILS: During the evening of Wednesday 11/07/18, there were two attempted auto thefts that occurred on campus. One attempt occurred in Parking Lot C, near East Housing, where a 2004 Dodge Stratus was targeted. The other attempt occurred in Parking Lot E, near the STEM building, and involved the attempted theft of a 2001 Ford Ranger. Additionally, the Southfield Police Department advised that there were several similar incidents reported around the area of campus last night. A vehicle suspected as being involved in the incidents on campus has been identified. The suspect vehicle appears to be as a black or dark colored Dodge Journey with tinted rear windows. There is no license plate nor any suspect information available at this time. Below is a picture of the suspect vehicle. If you have information related to this vehicle, of if you see it on campus, please call Campus Safety at 248-204-3945. R&O/ CCW/ F/A/ Felon in Possession of Firearm- 1- Arrest 11/06/2018 9:35pm S/B M-10 & 8 Mile Rd. Officer observed a traffic violation in the intersection of Greenfield Rd. & West Eight Mile Road. A LEIN check revealed that the registered owner had two felony warrants out of Detroit for Armed Robbery and CCW. Officers stopped the vehicle on S/B M-10 & West Eight Mile Rd. The officers attempted to place the driver under arrest and a struggle ensued. The suspect made numerous attempts to remove a handgun from his waistband during the struggle. Officers fearing what would happen if suspect was able to get to his handgun had to use physical force to gain control of the suspect. The suspect was eventually subdued and taken into custody. The suspect was lodged in the Southfield Jail. A loaded handgun was recovered from the suspect. OWI- 1- Arrest 11/05/2018 12:07am Telegraph Rd.& W Ten Mile Rd. Officer while working the OWI detail, stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense and its erratic driving. The driver displayed characteristics of being under the influence of intoxicants. An OWI investigation was completed and the driver was arrested for OWI. The driver refused the Data Master Test (Breath Test) and a search warrant for a blood test was obtained. Blood samples were taken from suspect and he was lodged in the Southfield Detention Center.

Special Attention: MDOP/ Tires Flattened 11/10/2018 1:00am 17000 Block of Bonstelle Victims ex-girlfriend showed up unannounced to his house last night around midnight. When victim refused to let her in the house she became upset. His ex-girlfriend remained outside of the residence. Around 1:00am victim and his house guest, heard a popping sound. When they looked out of the windows of the house, they observed ex-girlfriend driving away, w/b on Bonstelle. A closer inspection revealed that she had slashed tires on three vehicles that were parked in victim s driveway. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Domestic Assault- 1- Arrest 11/05/2018 5:11am 21000 Block of Evergreen Rd. Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault. Officers found that the suspect had assaulted his girlfriend and mother. He also damaged property inside the house and prior to leaving stated he was coming back and would kill everyone. He left the scene prior to Officer s arrival. Officers located the suspect at a nearby business on 8 Mile Rd. near Evergreen Rd. He was taken into custody w/o incident. OWI- 1- Arrest 21000 Block of Lahser Rd. 11:40am Officer was dispatched to investigate a Traffic Crash. The at fault driver was found to be intoxicated and an OWI Investigation was conducted. The driver was later taken into custody for OWI and lodged in the Southfield Detention Facility.

Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. -After parking your vehicle turn your wheels all the way to the right or the left. This will make it difficult to get the lug nuts off the front wheels. -If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers as much information about the suspect(s) and Possession of Marijuana- 1- Arrest 11/06/2018 1:52am Telegraph Rd. & 8 Mile Rd. Officer stopped a vehicle wanted for Larceny by local jurisdiction. One of the occupants was in possession of an illegal substance; marijuana. The subject was arrested and lodged. The vehicle was impounded and other occupants were identified and released. Fraud- 1- Arrest 11/06/2018 2:38pm 24000 Block of Northwestern Hwy (Gas Station) Officers were dispatched to Gas Station in the 24000 Block of Northwestern on a report of a subject using a fraudulent credit card to purchase gas. Upon arrival, Officers located the suspect, conducted their investigation and placed him under arrest for Credit Card Fraud. The suspect was lodged in the Southfield Jail.

Felony Warrant Arrest/ Leaving the scene of Accident- 1- Arrest 11/06/2018 6:00pm Telegraph Rd. & W Ten Mile Rd. Officer was dispatched to intersection on a report of a Hit & Run Traffic Crash. Officer located the driver that left the scene of the accident and entered her into LEIN. The LEIN check revealed that the suspect had an outstanding Felony Warrant out of Royal Oak. The suspect was arrested and lodged in the Southfield Jail. Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility. Domestic Assault- 1- Arrest 11/08/2018 10:18am 23000 Block of Providence Dr. (Apartments) Officers responded to a Domestic Assault Investigation at residence. Upon arrival, the investigation revealed that the victim s boyfriend assaulted female complainant. The suspect was arrested and lodged at the Southfield Jail.

U&P- 1- Arrest 11/09/2018 11:20am 23000 Block of Greenfield Rd. (Bank) Officers responded to Bank in the 23000 Block of Greenfield Rd. on a Fraud in progress. Upon arrival Officers located the suspect and detained him while they conducted their investigation. The suspect forged and presented as true a stolen business check for cashing. He was taken into custody for U&P and transported to the Southfield Jail for lodging and processing. Embezzlement- 1- Arrest 11/09/2018 12:00pm 30000 Block of Southfield Rd. (Commercial Multi Goods Store) Officer responded to business on a report of an Embezzlement Investigation. Loss Prevention advises store employee (suspect) was observed on multiple occasions ringing up pre-paid gift cards of different amounts at the cash register while no customer was present at the register. Suspect was then observed issuing cash payments for the pre-paid cards but is never observed placing the money into the register. Additional information was gathered and the employee was taken into custody for Embezzlement w/o incident.

Assault/ CCW/ R&C Stolen Property/ Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated. 1- Arrest 11/10/2018 8:45pm 25000 Block of Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Bar & Pizzeria) Manager from Pizzeria called to report a known male patron made assaultive threats to a group of people in the restaurant. The suspect began arguing with the group because the manager wished one of the group s members Happy Birthday and he was upset because he didn t get the same attention on his birthday. Suspect made a threat to the group that he was going to retrieve a gun and shoot them up. The suspect left just prior to officer s arriving. Officer was in the parking lot when suspect returned and entered the restaurant. Officers stopped the suspect and during the pat down suspect attempted to pull away from Officers and kept trying to turn around. The suspect was secured and patted down. A loaded handgun was found on his person. The handgun had been reported as stolen and the suspect was intoxicated. Suspect was arrested and lodged.

F/A- 1- Arrest 11/10/2018 1:03am 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. (Apartment Complex) Officers dispatched to location on a report of a male that was struck in the head with a shotgun. The male said he and his girlfriend had an argument and she retrieved a shotgun and struck him in the head with it. The male had a cut to the back of his head. The female admitted to striking the male with the shotgun and was subsequently arrested for Domestic Felonious Assault. MDOP/ F/A Domestic- 1- Arrest 11/11/2018 11:16am 23000 Block of Civic Center Dr. (Apartment Complex) Officers responded to a report of a domestic issue between an estranged boyfriend & girlfriend. During the argument, the girlfriend smashed the rear window of the male half s truck with a shovel. As she fled the scene she attempted to run the male over with her vehicle. The female was located by Officers a short time later and was taken into custody for MDOP & F/A Domestic.

Narcotic Equipment Paraphernalia- 1- Arrest 11/08/2018 8:48am 21000 Block of Evergreen Rd. (Public School) The principal of School and Security were investigating a female adult student for being under the influence of marijuana. (Second Offense) Officer was present when Security searched the female student. During the search Security Staff located a brown pipe with residue of suspected marijuana on it. The security staff also located a container with suspected marijuana. The student was taken into custody by Officer for Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia.
