Kangeq is the birthplace of the famous artist Aron (1822 1969), who painted stories from the traditional myths and legends.there will be approx. 1½ hour stay in the village. Only few places in Greenland are as beautiful as the Eqi Glacier, which ends in the fiord 80 kilometres north of Ilulissat. It is possible by boat to get very close to the glacier and experience huge pieces of ice breaking off. The sounds are enormous and the sight of the icebergs, crashing into the water, is breathtaking.we sail in modern and convenient boats at the excursion to Eqi. The route goes north

The town is the third largest settlement in Greenland and its proximity to the twenty-five mile long ice fjord and Jakobshavn Isbrae Glacier have made it the island s major tourist center. Our walking tour will focus on the geology of the glacier and the history of the town. We ll visit the old town, the fishing harbor and the original buildings from the first Dutch trading station on the island. The afternoon is free to explore the island on your own. Tonight we ll embark on Evening/Midnight Sun Cruise sailing among the icebergs (Cruise Included). The midnight/evening sun gives the icebergs a unique play of colours that people return to experience again and again. Sailing during the night with the sun still shining is a fantastic and unusual experience. Almost every visitor in Ilulissat chooses to try this boat trip among the icebergs at least once. During the year, more than 46 km of ice flows into the fiord. The result is gigantic icebergs, which can be more than 100 metres on each side and with a height on more than 100 metres above the water surface. These giants strand at the end of the fiord, and that gives a good opportunity to sail among them. The icebergs are beautiful every kind of weather; in the sunshine the contrasts are very clear, the blue shades are very beautiful, when it is cloudy and the midnight sun casts a unique glow on the icebergs during the night. The boat trip at bright night is definitely an extraordinary experience. Because of the proximity of Ilulissat to the Arctic Circle the night sky is still dominated by the midnight sun and the red and gold colors reflecting back from the icebergs is truly an once-in-a-lifetime experience. Terms & Conditions with Booking Conditions Private Van Tours What's Included in Tour Price Hotel Accommodation: Prices per person Breakfast will be Buffet in some hotels or table service in some hotels.. All airport or train station or port transfers in every city will be on Private Basis. All included train travel will be in Standard Class and air travel will be in Economy Class normally on Budget Carriers. For Air travel on Budget Carriers only 1 Piece of checked in baggage of 15kg will be permitted on your flights. Additional Baggage or additional weight will be charged at the airport. Cruise will be based on Inside or Outside Cabins (2 to a Cabin) as mentioned in the program. All Sightseeing tours are on Private Basis with English Speaking Guide for Private Lucury Tours. Vehicle and Driver are available for use from 0900hrs to 2000hrs daily. When booking triple rooms please note that the third bed is based on sharing the existing bedding (two beds) in a twinbedded standard room or maybe a "roll-away" bed. All reservations once confirmed must be paid a deposit of 50% of the total tour fare within 3 days of reservations if booked earlier than 45 days prior to arrival date. Balance payment for the tour must be paid at least 45 days in prior to arrival date. In the event full payment is not received 45 days prior arrival we reserve the right to charge a surcharge for additional train or airfares if any in the reservations. If reservations are done less than 30 days in advance than once reservations is confirmed we require full payment within 3 days of reservations.
