D If an emergency occurs Follow the directions of teachers-in-charge. E.g. During an Earthquake If you're indoors, stay there. Get under -- and hold onto --a desk or table, or stand against an interior wall. Stay clear of exterior walls, glass, heavy furniture, fireplaces and appliances. If you're outside, get into the open. Stay clear of buildings, power lines or anything else that could fall on you. If you re in a crowded public place, avoid panicking and do not rush for the exit. Stay low and cover your head and neck with your hands and arms. Have special regard for social habits and observe personal cleanliness 9. Be familiar with all details of the programme 10. Be responsible for your personal belongings, particularly your money and other valuables. 11. ONLY THE FOLLOWING 2 USES OF HANDPHONES ARE APPROVED: a. To contact parents (only at night when you have returned to the apartment) b. and Photo-taking on tour days 12. Handphones to be kept locked in hotel rooms on school immersion days. Strictly no games to be played on handphones. 13. **The TV in the common rooms are not to be used / accessed without the presence of a teacher. 14. **Students are not allowed to use the hot water dispensers without the permission/supervision of teachers at all times. 15. **Students are not allowed to leave the rooms after lights-out each night. 16. Students must always be remain with the main group when on tour. Should the need to go to the washroom arise, students MUST get the permission of the teachers AND go in pairs / allocated groups. 9
