NEW Regional Rider s Guide Effective August 31, 2015 T he new Regional Program, goes above and beyond the required SolTrans ADA service area. The new program is designed to ensure that SolTrans can provide our riders with quality ADA service within Vallejo and Benicia, while providing a range of regional travel options to meet riders mobility needs. 311 Sacramento St, Vallejo, CA 94590 707-648-4666

SolTrans ADA Complementary ADA service is described in the ADA Rider s Guide. ADA service provides origin-todestination service within Benicia and Vallejo during the same hours and within 3/4 mile of fixed routes. The Regional Program supplements the ADA Service. What does the Regional program include? What service is right for me? The service includes the following Regional travel options: 1. Local ADA Local Feeder buses to 2. ADA Local Feeder to Fairfield and Contra Costa County Solano County Intercity Taxi Scrip Program Solano County SolTrans Regional Shuttle Fairfield and Contra Costa County to transfers Napa Any ADA Registrant. For passengers who can transfer independently or with an attendant to a commuter bus. All day, weekday and weekend travel via ADA paratransit transfers to: Route 78 every 40-90 minutes M-F; and 60-90 minutes Saturdays Route 80 every 15-30 minutes M-F; and 30 minutes Saturdays Route 85 every 60 minutes M-F, and every two hours on Saturday ADA Registrant must be a Solano County Resident. Premium, same-day, curb-to-curb ride; currently only for ambulatory passengers, though program is expected to expand in 2016 to nonambulatory. Spontaneous travel, same day reservation; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at a reduced fare, with reduced taxi coupons purchase cap per rider, per month. Service operates upon request by SolTrans (Benicia or Vallejo) ADA Registrant, or medical trips for other ADA Registrant. Other trips accepted once shuttle operation is confirmed. Service available on a first come-first served basis and on a limited schedule. Service is primarily for medical travel, or for passengers who cannot transfer to fixed route. Origin to connection with neighboring ADA Providers at designated drop off location. Weekday service with 2-3 fixed scheduled round trips to Fairfield, and Contra Costa County I-80 and I-680 corridors. Please call customer service for operating hours. Any ADA Registrant. Traditional paratransit origin-to-destination with a paratransit transfer between SolTrans ADA and Napa VINE GO. Available same hours as fixed routes.

ADA Local Feeder to SolTrans ADA Local Feeder bus Local Colleges Vallejo Transit Center SolTrans ADA Local Feeder Bus Reservations: can be arranged through SolTrans Dispatch one to seven days in advance. SolTrans ADA Local Feeder buses will provide a timed, easy connection to or from Routes at the Vallejo Transit Center. Transfers to Napa Route 11 are also available. Upon arrival, passengers will be dropped off and asked to wait for their connection. Fare: $3.00 for a local one-way ADA available at the Solano Mall or Fairfield Transportation Center. SolTrans Regional Shuttles Two to three regional shuttles will operate weekdays on a limited morning and afternoon schedule to Fairfield, and along the I-80 and I-680 corridors into Contra Costa County. SolTrans Regional Shuttle Days & Hours of Operation: Shuttles will operate weekdays when there is demand from Benicia and Vallejo ADA Registrants or any medical trip requests. Shuttles are confirmed at least 3 days before service operates. Once a shuttle is confirmed, all ADA registrants may book, capacity permitting. These trips are served via a transfer to the local paratransit service provider and direct pick up and drop-offs in Benicia and Vallejo. SolTrans will ensure your connection so that you are on time for paratransit transfers or other appointments. Service type: Origin-to-connecting with a connecting operator provided for Benicia an Vallejo ADA Registrants traveling to Fairfield or Contra Costa County. Transfer service is provided for non-medical trips or trip requests from ADA registrants who reside outside of Benicia and Vallejo. Riders from communities outside Vallejo and Benicia requiring direct, one-seat origin to destination travel should consult their local transit agency provider for options. Reservations: Required 3-7 days in advance with SolTrans Dispatch. Shuttles operate only weekdays, and only on days and times when there is demand from SolTrans ADA registrants or for any medical trips. Registrants from other service areas must book directly with SolTrans Dispatch, and may be asked to call back three days before their trip if the shuttle is not yet confirmed. Fare: $5.50 one-way on the SolTrans Regional Shuttle. Arranging Connecting ADA Provider to the SolTrans Regional Shuttle: If you live in Benicia and Vallejo, please indicate if you require a local paratransit trip to your destination at the time of your booking with us. SolTrans will relay the request of all passengers on the shuttle to the appropriate connecting operator, including: County Connection East Bay FAST DART, or WestCAT The connecting paratransit operator will contact you with their proposed paratransit trip time. If you have not received a call, please call the local provider at least one day in advance. Please note your pick-up time and retain this information, so you can contact the provider directly, in case there is a service delay or your plans change. If you live outside Benicia or Vallejo, you ll need to call SolTrans Dispatch to arrange your trip on the SolTrans Regional Shuttle first. Once that is set, we ask that you call your local paratransit provider as soon as possible and provide them your shuttle time for a smooth connection. Timed Transfer will work much the same way as regional paratransit transfers worked before the new program. The SolTrans Regional Shuttle will wait with the passenger for their local paratransit connection in an effort to make the service convenient and accessible for the passenger. However, the shuttles are designed to operate on a fixed schedule and cannot typically wait longer than 15-20 minutes for a connection. If your connection is regularly late by 30 minutes or more, you will be given the option to wait for the connection at the transfer location, or return home and reschedule your trip with the local provider for another day. Solano County Intercity Taxi Scrip Program to Napa Vine Transfers Within Solano County Only The Solano County Intercity Taxi Scrip Program is a flexible option limited to qualified ADA certified riders who reside in Solano County. This service provides premium, curb-to-curb, same day transportation at a reduced cost for trips within Solano County. To participate, a rider must purchase taxi scrip coupons at a reduced rate in advance, call the local taxi provider to schedule a trip, and pay using the taxi scrip coupons and showing their ADA ID. It s that easy! Intercity Taxi Scrip: There is no application necessary to purchase reduced scrip books. Simply bring your Solano County ADA ID to purchase taxi scrip at the Vallejo Transit Center or Benicia Finance Department in the city where you live. Fare: A reduced Intercity taxi scrip book offers $100 value worth of taxi rides at a cost to the passenger of $15 per booklet; the maximum number of booklets allowed per customer per month is 8 booklets, and is subject to change. Taxi Service: Once you have your taxi scrip coupons, simply call the taxi company to schedule your trip. You ll need to tell them your name, ID number, and that you will be paying for your trip with Intercity Taxi Scrip. If you have a mobility device or service animal, you ll need to make a note of that too with your trip request. Timed Transfers: These allow for SolTrans and Napa paratransit buses to meet and hand-off the passenger from one vehicle to the other. Passengers are not left unattended.
