As I write, it is lovely outside from the inside! It is slowly warming up. Spring has arrived with thoughts of renewal! I m anxious to get my spring purging and cleaning done and opening up my windows! I m sure many of you are also looking forward to your gardens! At our next Executive Meeting on April 9, we will be finalizing our program brochure for next year. At that time we set Executive meeting dates, event dates and venues. The Entertainment Committee is preparing now to bring quality performances to the events. Our fiscal year ends on March 31. Ursula Vander Ploeg, our Treasurer, is now preparing the financial statement, to be reviewed by two non-executive branch members, and then sent to Provincial by April 30. The Budget Committee will then begin preparing a working budget for the 2014-2015 year. Last year, Sandie Bender and her committee produced a Constitution and Policy and Procedure Manual to assist in the operations of our branch. Changes to the Constitution must be approved by the membership. Be on the lookout for Proposed Changes to the Branch Constitution coming to you in April by way of a special e-mail flyer.
