Heli and hike in Mafate Day 2 Group 1 / Day 3 Group 2 Anunusual day, a Mafate experience. Bury yourself in the world of the famous Mafate s postman and discover the place where many slaves took refuge in the old days. You will leave from La Rivière des Galets, in an ATV, hence using the only path cars can use to enter this cirque. Approx. 30 min. after your departure, you will be dropped off at Deux Bras (Two Arms) in the riverbed. That s where your hike starts, where the only two ways of moving around are walking or flying. You ll cross the river many times, you ll sometimes get your feet wet, and for the most courageous or the least sensitive to the cold ones, a swimming pause is possible in a splendid and natural pond. The hike lasts approximately 2:30 / 3:00 hours before reaching Cayenne, a charming small islet of 25 inhabitants. Once you get to the cottage, located near the cirque s oldest church, you ll enjoy a welldeserved traditional carry. Your guide will share everything he knows about the history and inhabitants of this cirque with you in a friendly atmosphere. After this generous meal, no more walking! You will be admiring the magnificent landscapes of the island cozily sitting in one of our helicopters. A beautiful day in sight! Dinner and night at the LUX*****
Helicopter ride 1 4WD at the Volcano Day 2 Group 2 / Day 3 Group 1 The Must do (55 min) From the volcano to the lagoon, from the rivers to the waterfalls a panoramic view of the island! Fly over the volcano, discover the amazing naturally high ramparts and the steep relief of the 3 cirques (Mafate, Salazie and Cilaos), dive in the incredible Iron Hole, let the view of the rivers and waterfalls freshen you up, admire the lagoon and its turquoise waters a real journey in just one flight! Crossing la Plaine des Cafres, a market garden and a cattle-breeding area, the first stop is at the viewpoint of Nez De Bœuf (2070 m) for the forming cirque La Rivière des Remparts : a huge canyon and a difference in level of 1000m! You stop secondly at Le Pas des Sables for the impressive view over La Plaine des Sables, the exceptional lunar landscape. Arrival at Pas de Bellecombe (2311m), from where you have the unique view over the Piton de la Fournaise Massif (one of the most active red volcano of the world). Continuation to the windward coast called the Wild South because of the contrasts with the blue (ocean), the green (tropical vegetation) and the black (lava flows). étonnante : sa majesté «le Piton de la Fournaise» Option Moutain bike from the Volcano You have contracted a severe illness called Freeride : extreme for some, fun for others. You must come prepared to this Olympic activity: whether you re on a Pasta Power, a Jeckyll or another bike, you won t forget this amazing experience. The descent is exceptional and neither Fred, our former champion of France trial nor Gildas, our defending XC champion will miss the occasion to accompany you for this great adventure.. Once you enter the bowels of the volcano there is no exit before St Joseph. Day 3, Gala dinner at the Copacabana This restaurant by the ocean welcome you with its two dining rooms tastefully decorated (one indoor and the other one outdoor), its cozy bar and its gorgeous beach facing the lagoon of La Saline, the largest one of the island. Be ready for the Copacabana, the perfect place to be seen both by day and by night, especially when theme parties are organized. Everything is well thought out and planned for your own comfort and pleasure: paddleboats, kayaks and paddle for athletes; trendy boutiques for those who want a makeover or simply for those who have forgotten an essential accessory.
