Dear Parents, Hello. I would like to first thank you for your interest in Kodiak Baptist Mission, and the programs we offer. Without you and your children our programs would not exist. 2018 will mark my sixth summer with KBM. During these past five years I have served in many different capacities, and it is my honor to step into the position of Summer Camp Director this year. I definitely have huge shoes to fill, but have a fantastic team to work with. With a change in leadership you always find a change in how things are done. That being said Summer Camp will look a bit different than in the past. We feel these will be changes for the positive, and will still offer a summer camp experience your child will talk about all year long. With more time devoted to Bible exploration, expect to see your child grow in spirituality and confidence. You will also notice a difference in our registration options, so pleases look them over carefully. I look forward to working with your family and hope to see you all at one or all of or Summer Family Events. Sincerely, Josh Bell Summer Camp/Outdoor Programs Director Here are a few quick and easy tips to help prepare you and your child for Summer Day Camp. - If this is your child's first time coming to camp take a little time to sit down and go over the daily schedule attached in this packet. Let them know they will have great summer counselors that are always there to help and talk. -Please send your child prepared for camp. Check out the "What to Bring To Camp" section for a list of daily items. - Before your child can attend camp all the required paperwork must be turned in as well as camp payment made -Please keep your eyes open for emails from our team or sign up to receive reminder texts

Speciality Camps Instructions: Circle the speciality camp you want to enroll your camper in. Certain weeks have half day camp options. Circle any half day specialty camps you'd like your camper to attend. If you want your child to attend all day camp in addition to a speciality camp X the All Day Camp box and circle the speciality camp. If you want your child's spot to be held the camp must be paid for. Otherwise a reminder call will be made the Monday or Tuesday prior to the week of camp you have registered your camper for. Once a payment is made, your spot will be reserved. There is limited space available for all camps. Entering 1st&2nd Grade Entering 3rd-5th Grade Where are all the Camp Options? Wondering where all the camps are your kids have come to love each summer. Don t worry they are all still there. Throughout the course of a week your camper will have the opportunity to do a variety of different activities. We have found that a good variety of projects and activities with plenty of choices makes for happier campers and staff. A tentative camp schedule will be sent out the week before to give parents and campers an idea of what to expect. For example if biking is an option for the week we want to give you plenty of time to air up those tires and make sure helmets fit. There will be more than one activity option each week so if your child is not interested in gymnastics or horseback riding they will not have to do that activity. Schedules will be flexible to take advantage of good weather days and camper s interests.

Mr. Jed is our resident kayak guide, and loves sharing his knowledge and experience with your kids. Campers will learn how to safely maneuver their boats on area lakes, then cap the week off with an overnight kayaking trip. This is always a very popular camp and space is limited, so reserve your spot today! Woody Island Horse Camp August 13-17 (Overnight two nights) Our horse camp has become a camp favorite over the years, and we have seen many campers grow in their horsemanship skills. This year we are offering our more experienced riders the chance to develop further with a week long intensive held on Woody Island. The first two days campers will be taken to Woody in the morning and return that afternoon. On Wednesday they return to Woody to start their two night adventure where they see what goes into keeping a horse full time. Campers will also take to the trails for a pack camp away from basecamp. So saddle up your horses, we ve got a trail to blaze. This camp is for experienced riders who have been through a previous horse camp and have been evaluated for skill. Potential participants will receive an invitation from our staff.
