It means that you are generous, willing to share your time with others and that you care about their feelings. If you include others in your games, they are more likely to include you when you are looking for someone to play with or talk to. Look around and see if there are others who might like to join in. Sometimes they might not ask to join in but they may be standing close by. Remember there are many ways that we can include others when we are working in our classrooms, group work and in other learning situations. David Garner. PINOCCIO DRAWING COMPETITION WINNERS Sunday evening, 16th Nov. at 7.30. Meet in Tenth st, Hepburn, near the Red Star/Cosy corner café. Bring along your lanterns and 0.50c to purchase a safe, battery operated candle. This is a family event if you wish to attend. Prep Winner: Gemma Malone Daylesford Primary Year 1 Winner: Jessica Santurini Daylesford Primary Year 2 Special Mention: Banjo Kinear Daylesford Primary Year 3 Special Mention: Evan Mae Haby Daylesford Primary Year 4 Special Mention: Nia Oram Daylesford Primary Year 5 Winner: Kaspa Maxwell Hepburn Primary Special Mention: Holly Murphy Daylesford Primary Year 6 Winner: Gabi Kaye Daylesford Primary Special Mention: Ben English Daylesford Primary SWISS & ITALIAN FESTA Swiss-Italian Festa Fundraiser Thankyou team of Chefs (Denise, Judy, Lisa, Meg, Michelle P and Michelle R ) for your work in the kitchen for the Napoli sauce and Polenta. All prepared quickly and efficiently. Parades and Schools Concert Yandoit students will be performing with the Drummond Students at the Festa. They will be doing an Swiss-German folk dance and singing a German song. Please start looking for clothing that makes them look like peasant farmers- same as the recent group day at Drummond. Students will be working on masks in Art, that they may like to wear in the parade. Danke schon and Grazie Mille for your support and we look forward to seeing you at these events. SWIMMING PROGRAM We will commence our swimming program on Friday 5 th December. The lessons will take place at Daylesford PS pool at 2 pm. We will finish on Friday 12 th December, but will not have a lesson on Tuesday, as this is a state-wide transition day for students who are attending new schools. The cost will be $25 for the five lessons by the Austswim teachers. Bendigo Community Bank in Daylesford has again generously subsidised the program by releasing one of their staff to take the swimming lessons, as she is Austswim trained. This has made the lessons considerably cheaper. Some parents still have money in their EMA account. This is one of the events that we need to call upon our parent drivers to assist with transport. A form is attached. Could you please fill out the days that you are available to assist with driving. We understand that some families do not have comprehensive insurance and cannot drive other children, but sometimes we just need one more child placed and if we know what days you are available, then organising the roster is so much easier. Please return this form by Tuesday 18th, as the roster needs to be arranged and then sent home to families. Thankyou for your prompt action with this, as it is a busy time of year, with much to do. Lanterns have been made and decorated for the wonderful Lantern parade and fireworks on 2
