Cost is only $10, with an additional $5 if you prefer to have the monthly newsletter mailed to you. A membership form is enclosed with this newsletter. Forms are also available on-line at the club's website or at the General Meetings, beginning in October. The October 19 th, meeting will have a surprise presentation. Be sure to make the meeting. "Falling Leaves" Excursion-Sunday, October 17 th Let's carpool to the Finger Lakes area, Cayuga Lake to be exact, and enjoy a day of hiking, picnicing, and maybe a "little bit" of wining!! We will meet at the Westmoreland Thruway exit at 8:15 and travel to Exit 41, get on Rt. 318 to Rt. 89 (south) and follow Cayuga Lake to Taughannock Falls State Park (approx. 2 hrs.) We can hike to the falls and find a right nice place to picnic. Upon leaving the State Park we will venture back the way we came but stop for some liquid refreshment at a couple of wineries along the way. We will leave to continue home around 4/4:30 and be back around 6/6:30. If you are planning on going, you need to contact me by October 11th. Minimum number is 10. Hadley Mountain Hike Oct 24 -(3.6 miles RT) The view from the restored fire tower provides one of the finest panoramas in the southern Adirondacks. Located north of the Great Sacandaga Lake near the town of Hadley in Warren County. Meet at 9:00 AM in the North Utica Shopping Center near the HSBC bank. Info call Ed Campbell 336-3510.

Highway clean up Once again it is time to help keep our section of Rte 12 B free from unsightly litter. We will meet at Zebb s parking lot at 8:30 am on Saturday, October 9 th. Afterwards we can go to Dunkin Doughnuts for a little refreshment. Utica Club Brewery Tour Saturday, Nov 13th we're doing the Utica Club Brewery Tour with the Master, Bob Kelly. We'll be joined by the Syracuse Ski Hawks as this has become a tradition with their club. The Tour starts at 2PM at the Brewery. Meet at the Gift Shop. GE SKI CLUB-UTICA, NY NEW HAMPSHIRE TRIP WATERVILLE VALLEY AND LOON MOUNTAIN JANUARY 21-23, 2005 Join us for a great trip to New Hampshire, JANUARY 21-23. We will leave the New Hartford Shopping Center, 5:30 PM on Friday,1/21 and travel by bus to Waterville Valley. We will be staying at the SNOWY OWL COUNTRY INN, (it s beautiful!) ski Waterville Valley, Saturday, 1/22 and Loon Mountain on Sunday. Return home Sunday after skiing. Price will be $ 325.00 which includes bus transportation, sandwiches and beverages on the bus, shuttles at Waterville Valley, Hotel (double occupancy) 2 breakfasts, 1 dinner, and lift tickets. This is a must see for all who enjoy the beauty of waterfalls and deep gorges. It is safe to say this will become a major attraction for this area again.
