Current Occupation I am currently working in Burj Al Arab Jumeirah by Jumeirah Group as the Operations Manager of the Rooms Division. Achievements I opened the Jumeirah Group Corporate Archive department (2014 2015), which includes 14 properties in the UAE and 12 properties across 9 different countries The Corporate Archive collected memorabilia and mounted all exhibitions within the UAE properties. This resulted in a traveling exhibition within hotels and during major events. I am in discussion to develop a Jumeirah Group Visitor Center, purposed as a museum showing the history and journey of the company as well as a retail outlet for branded merchandise. I am a part of Jumeirah s Elite Future Leader Program designed to create General Managers within a five year period.
Achievements As Operations Manager: I control and track our online reservations system, especially in terms of controlling our extra beds and baby cots. I have implemented processes in the housekeeping department to minimize phone calls between the order takers and rooms controller in regards to in-suite amenities. In addition, I have developed an in-suite cleaning process to replace the old system. This system is designed to impact our room turnover by 4.2%.
Achievements I am a part of a task-force to pre-open the Rooms Division for Jumeirah Al Naseem, a new 5 star property opening on the 1st of December 2016. I am to creating the hotel script that is designed to provide a unique service for this property that reflects the Arabian hospitality. This involves training of all Rooms Division colleagues and any preopening operations, including SOPs and customer service.
Achievements My MBA dissertation on, The Perception of Current General Managers on Future Female Emirati General Managers in the Luxury Sector in Dubai, UAE. This involved me interviewing 20 hotel General Managers from 5 star hotels in Dubai, UAE. The purpose of the study was to create a bridge between female Emiratis and the Hospitality industry. This is done by understanding the needs of female Emiratis and the Hospitality Industry. Additionally, to elicit the perceptions of current General Managers on what influences them to create an attractive Emiratization program for women.
