DO YOU REMEMBER......the sense of wonder you had when you were a child, and every creature, every landscape, every sunset, and every starry night was a new and awesome experience? Being in Antarctica makes you feel that way again. Greg McCann travelled with us in Antarctica. 02 Oceanwide Expeditions

COME FEEL THE WONDER OF THE ARCTIC AND ANTARCTICA Come with us to experience the magnificence of the polar regions. An experience that will bring you CLOSER TO THE HEART

The Weddell Sea is mostly ice-clogged with Weddell Sea huge tabular icebergs. Snow-capped Pola r Circ le mountains are towering from the sea with hundreds of glaciers. Wildlife is abundant: penguins, whales, seals and sea birds. Crossing the Antarctic Circle to reach the most Southerly position brings polar history back to life. Drake Passage King George Isl. Weddell Sea Tristan da Cunha Gough Island Ushuaia ANTARCTIC PENINSULA South Georgia Antarctic Peninsula The Antarctic Peninsula is one of the most beautiful regions of the entire continent. Your cruise to the Antarctic Peninsula will reveal the most diverse mixture of wildlife throughout Antarctica. The prevalence of penguins is a highlight during most expeditions, and a visit during the summer can even reveal plant life such as the area s only two flowering plants: the Antarctic pearlwort and Antarctic hair grass. ATLANTIC ODYSSEY The Mid Atlantic Islands are the remotest places on earth to reach. There is a wide variety of wildlife South and North of the Antarctic Convergence. w w w. o c e a n w i d e - e x p e d i t i o n s. c o m 05

INTERESTED IN CREATING YOUR OWN POLAR TRAVEL STORY? Please join us. The Polar regions are special and amazing but you re the one who will see, hear, feel, smell and taste them. All of their power and vulnerability are there for you. If you want to get even closer, we ll take you on a shore walk or a kayak outing along the Antarctic coastline. Or perhaps you d prefer to sit in the snow, enjoying the silence. Some travelers may even dream of having a tuxedo party with penguins. There s nothing wrong with that. The point is, it s your personal polar experience. 06 Oceanwide Expeditions

NOT INTERESTED IN REACHING ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG? You ve come to the right place. Oceanwide Expeditions will take you well beyond the tip into the depths of the Polar regions. Since 1996, our specialty has been exploration and we can get you closer to the heart of the Arctic and Antarctica. We do this through dynamic, quality programs and shorebased activities filled with exciting and up-close opportunities in the field. Oceanwide goes beyond the highlights and delivers to you the unexpected, surprising, and astonishing. Does this fit into your personal travel story? Be prepared for a thrilling adventure, well beyond the tip of the iceberg. www.oceanwide-expeditions.com 07
